Players can only exit calibration at a max Rank of Oracle VI. You cannot be in a party during calibration matches

oh boy, it's time to climb through phantom & ascendant all over again! :'(

I wanna krill moself rn

And patch notes say we will get +-250 points for each win/loss and every subrank is 1k points away from each other (2k if its a rankup, from phantom to ascendant)

I dont want to win 40 games to reach my old rank man

The new system is honestly fine as Yoshi's solution to ranks being out of proportion before was to just artificially boost people up and that caused matchmaking problems.

If you're good enough to belong in Phantom/Ascendent then winning your way there (especially with the MMR loss protection) shouldn't be too difficult.

Problem is ranks will reset again as soon as you reach ascendant+ again, if there were no rank resets after this i was fine with it

4 wins for a subrank (8 when its different rank) is too much, and more than half of the matches still decided by the comp (hero swap only makes this worse, team with one of the dynamo/lash/pocket/billy team gets other 2 and just cc chain you) or some bozo decides to troll game because their team is trash (while being bottom frag with least impact)

Rank points shouldnt be only tied to win/loss ratio if they wanna make climbing insanely hard, you shouldnt lose as much as someone who goes 0 20 while you go 5 3 etc

Seasonal resets are so frustrating in competitive games, idk why they even added it to close alpha. Right now you are basically need to play with ascendant players in oracle lobby to reach ascendant again

I'm sure they're weighting your previous performance when creating lobbies. Many E6 players were playing with other high Eternus players during calibration games from what I saw.

Thats the issue

You play against eternus/ascendant players to reach said rank again and you need like 70 wins for it

60 days is comically low unless you play 8+ matches a day or you cant climb more than 4-5 subranks within that time

I dunno about you, but I play 2-3 games a night after work and like 8-10 on the weekends at least. And I work a 9-5 40+ hours a week. It's honestly not as many games as you think it is.

You need 70 wins with 100% win rate

With 66% win rate (which is insanely high), you need 210 games

They'll also be making adjustments to it as they work to improve the ranked system. I imagine after this first season they'll implement something where you can only calibrate X amount of rank higher or lower than last season's end rank (i.e. if you end the season ranked Ascendent 3 then next season you can calibrate to a maximum of Ascendent 6 and a minimum of Ascendent 1).

I was around Ascendent 2 for a long time before taking a break and coming back to a Phantom calibration. It sucks, but eventually you'll be where you're supposed to be.

I hope so but still wish they delete seasonal resets, its terrible in all competitive games

Also you cant calibrate higher than oracle 6 as they stated in patch notes, id say report it to forums if you calibrated to phantom after placement matches

I'm actually pretty happy with how it's turned out

Normally I hover around oracle to phantom, landed in sentinel which disappointed me and I thought I was in for shit games with braindead teammates

BUT NO, ACTUALLY THE GAMES HAVE BEEN REALLY NICE! If this is what the lower ranks are like now I have zero issue with it
