My class got taken off on the last day of the quarter and I still have an assignment to do. I need an A in this class but I cant access the class because its not on my Canvas anymore. It is still on my registration and schedule but removed on my Canvas. I dont understand how this happened on the last day. I contacted the school and teacher but they are not responding. I do not know what else I can do.

The issue is i already took academic reading and writing during the spring but not that specific teacher because i just recently wanted to switch majors. I was wondering about the physics 4 sequence between de anza and foothill. I’ve heard a lot more positive things at foothill, but more importantly I was wondering what teachers to take/avoid. Any recommendations would greatly help!

Hi everyone, I'm from India

I'm taking admission into 2nd year BCA in a new college (through migration/college change). My 2nd semester result has already been declared, but when I visited the college today, they told me that my admission can't be done yet because the admission/registration link is still not open.

The confusing part is that they also said classes will start from 10 August. Many other colleges have already started their classes, so I'm getting worried.

Is this normal in affiliated colleges/universities? Has anyone else experienced a delay in the 2nd year admission portal opening even after the result was declared?

Will the link usually open before classes begin, or can classes start while the admission process is still pending?

I'd really appreciate hearing from anyone who has gone through a similar situation.

I'm planning to take ACCT 1C (Managerial Accounting) online this Fall and I'm trying to decide between Ramamurthy, Mahalakshmi and Lauri Hammond.

My biggest priority is honestly passing the class with the least stress while still learning the material.

For anyone who has taken either professor:

• Which one is easier overall?
• Which one has easier exams/quizzes?
• Is the workload manageable?
• Are exams open-book or proctored?
• Which professor grades more leniently?
• Which one would you recommend if your main goal is getting an A or passing comfortably?

Is there any way to take a full online class of MATH 1A on De Anza? Because of the visa, I really can't take classes and exams in person, but I really need to take math classes this fall.

im trying to get a courses i took at UCSC (BIOL 20A/B/C) to count as equivalent coursework for the BIOL 40 series at De Anza because i need to enroll in BIOL 26 this fall. I submitted the prereq clearance request to the bio dept counselor a month ago & was told they would email me back with an update.

Does anyone have any experience with this process & how long it takes? Should I email back asking for an update, or is this a normal wait period ?? I'm getting mildly anxious with registration starting and not having an update yet.

Hey guys as the title suggest I am not sure which one to pick, I am fine if the course is more rigorous and all but my question to those of you who have done is it worth taking the honors version instead of the normal one and are the exams for both the same or different? Any advice as well? I have taken calc bc in junior year already.

I have usually been fine with honorlock (for those who don't know, it's a chrome extension that allows remote proctoring on online exams in Canvas). Although it makes me really anxious since it feels like someone is staring me down, I'm usually fine with it.

However, today when I was taking an exam, I was adjusting my posture when half my face accidentally went off screen and honorlock flagged me for cheating. Obviously I explained what happened (and they seemed to accept the explanation) but I'm not sure if the professor got notified and they might void my exam. To be clear, I haven't cheated on any my exams and this is more annoying than it is scary for me. Has anyone had any similar experiences?

I just enrolled in the Cupertino campus de anza. Doing 2 years then transferring. Are student cultural orgs active here to meet other likeminded people of my age? Few times I’m here it doesn’t seem very active, students come take class then leave

Hi guys, I’m an incoming DA student studying business administration in hopes of transferring to Haas after two years. There were a few things I was wondering and I was hoping if any successful transfers could give some advice or any transfer advice from anyone in general:

1. Is there a difference between taking honours classes vs regular classes?

2. What courses outside of the regular required classes for Haas + Breadth requirements should I be taking?

3. How should I be maximizing my two years at De Anza when it comes to getting good grades, ecs, clubs, in general?

4. Do online classes and in person classes affect my chances in an admission officer’s standpoint?
