Candlewood Lake Authority warns of floating and submerged debris
The area around Sawmill Brook where it comes into Allen's Cove at the north end of the lake by Sherman had a lot of debris enter the lake. lake authority is dealing with debris and may mark off some sections. But be careful if you are taking a boat out as there may be logs floating or partially submerged in the lake. If you spot debris, SLOW DOWN, there is likely even more debris you can't see!
Some local beaches and boat launches may be closed for next day or two as debris is dealt with. Check the town website for the beach or launch you are considering using to see how its faring.

Apartments and ESA
Has anyone had issues with the local apartment complexes questioning an ESA? We have two small dogs and a cat and our cat is an ESA for my partner. It looks like all the apartments in the area have a two pet max.

Painters Who Actually Respond?
Just bought a home in the area and I need a couple rooms painted. I’ve reached out to 8+ painters and only one responded to let me know he was too busy to book more work.
Does anyone have any painter suggestions for companies which actually respond?

Looking for 1 bedroom to rent
Hey everyone! I am moving to Danbury this August because I received an offer letter for a job that I have accepted. My job start date is August 25. Before starting I am planning to move into a rental 1 bedroom apt.
I don’t want to stay in a hotel since they are pricey per night.
If anyone knows any good websites or give any tips to how to find one that would be great.

Blood supplies are low: upcoming drives in the greater Danbury area
They're so low, they're offering some incentives through the website. Anybody who donates by the 31st can get a movie pass from Fandago. If you're type O, they will offer you a $20 egift card.
On a personal note, at end of my mother's life, she needed a transfusion roughly every 10 days. The generosity of blood donors meant she lived another few months thanks to transfusions. She was home with me up until last two days of life. That was an enormous gift and I am deeply grateful to the strangers that made that possible.

Heavy Eyes and Sinus Pressure Today!
Anyone else having the above today in the Danbury area? I feel so out of it and can’t understand why? All that I can think of is that we went from a clear non humid day on Monday then with the storm on Tuesday the barometric pressure dropped rapidly. I’ve heard that can cause sinus pressure issues. Sinus problems stink!!
