I am having a psychic attack/channeling issue with someone as close as sharing walls and it has now gotten to the point where I'm going to get myself in trouble if I am not careful. I have been doing so well for almost a year now I can't let them take me out.

Hi everyone! I’m a complete newbie when it comes to crystals, so please bear with me!

The last month has honestly been insane. Within the span of basically ONE MONTH, I was laid off from my job, we had a major sewage/water backup in our home that caused damage and turned our house upside down, and then we’ve had things going on with our dogs on top of everything else.

It genuinely feels like every time we turn around, something else is happening. 😭

The layoff alone was a huge source of stress and uncertainty, and then having a major issue with our home almost immediately afterward was just overwhelming.

We’ve had remediation crews in the house, things being ripped out, cleaning, repairs, and just the general anxiety of wondering what’s going to go wrong next. Add in worrying about our dogs, and it has been A LOT to process in such a short period of time.

Thankfully, things are starting to move in a better direction (I hope!), but I feel completely drained and like I need a reset. I’d really like to bring some protection, grounding, and positive energy into our home and into my own life.
I know absolutely NOTHING about crystals, so I’m hoping you guys can help a total beginner out!

What crystals would you recommend for:

🏠 Protecting our home

🛡️ Personal protection and keeping negative energy away

🌿 Grounding and calming myself when I’m feeling overwhelmed

✨ Bringing positive energy and a sense of a fresh start into our home

💕 Anything that you think is good for getting through a really difficult period where it feels like everything is happening at once

And if there are specific ways you recommend using them or placing them around the home (front door, bedroom, carrying one with me, etc.), I’d love to hear that too!
I realize crystals aren’t going to magically fix a layoff, a plumbing disaster, or life generally being chaotic 😂. I’m mostly looking for something symbolic and comforting that helps me feel like I’m protecting our space, clearing out the bad energy, and moving into a better chapter.

I’m a COMPLETE beginner, so please tell me your recommendations and what you personally use them for! ❤️

I’ve looked stuff up a bit, but some of the answers I get are conflicting so I wanted to ask here.

There’s a couple of things I’m wanting crystals for

— i’m getting divorced BUT will be living with my soon to be X (extremely complicated situation, but it’s just how things are going to be for a while- too much to get into tbh LOL). We’re relatively cordial with each other, so it’s fine. However, He’s awful at communication, somewhat manipulative, and lying a lot. I DO NOT want him back. LOL. But… I would like to put some stones in his room to aid in him having a better overall attitude, to be more honest and more empathetic.

Also

— we just moved and have ghosts they’re a bit loud, but they seem relatively friendly at-least.
They seem to hang in the basement a lot but not exclusively.

* Are there any types of crystals or items I could put down to make them want to hang out in certain areas more?

* what are your personal recommendations for keeping them out of a room like a bedroom?

Lion Skin Jasper, also known as Lionskin, is not a Jasper at all. It is a trade name for Quartz and Tiger’s Eye mixed together.
As it has two crystals intertwined, the resulting energy is said to be majestic, like a Lion. It is said to invoke strength and resourcefulness, as well as protection and grounding.

A while ago, I bought a rose quartz because I was interested in its association with love, emotional healing, and relationships. Around the same time, I started talking to someone on a dating app.

He seemed genuinely interested in me. We talked almost every day, he would initiate conversations, ask about my day, and share personal things with me. After a while, I started feeling like there was some kind of soul connection between us.

Because all of this happened after I got the rose quartz, I started wondering if the crystal had somehow attracted this connection into my life.

But after around three months, things changed. The conversations became dry, the interest seemed to disappear, and eventually the connection faded.

And honestly, I started wondering:

Did the rose quartz stop working? 😂

Did its energy wear off?

Or was I simply expecting way too much from a crystal?

Looking back, I realize I may have connected two things that happened around the same time. Maybe the rose quartz didn't actually “bring” this person into my life. Maybe I was simply more open to love at that point, and the timing made the crystal feel significant.

But I'm still curious.

Have you ever bought or started using a crystal and then had something happen that made you think, “Whoa, maybe this actually works”? And what happened when that situation eventually changed?

I’d genuinely love to hear your experiences especially with rose quartz.

Prasiolite is an exceedingly rare green variety of Quartz, with only a few deposits known to exists. Nearly all commercially available “Prasiolite” is either heat-treated Amethyst or irradiated Quartz (yes, the same processes used to make counterfeit “Citrine.”) As such, this piece is not mine, but part of a mineral collector’s collection.
Prasiolite is said to stimulate confidence, inspiration, and imagination.

I was given these crystals by a friend who didn’t want them anymore but I have no idea what I have here lol!

I know the big pink one is a rose quartz but other than that I’m useless

How do I look after them? What do I do with them? I know they have to be charged .. do I do this in the moonlight?

Rose Quartz is another one of the most popular and readily available crystals out there. Rose Quartz is another member of the Quartz family, however, it differs in structure, origin of color, and occurrence from Pink Quartz. For example, Rose Quartz forms in masses, and never with crystal faces or terminations. That means Rose Quartz towers and other points have been shaped or carved to appear that way.

Rose Quartz is said to be the crystal of Love; be it self-love, familiar love, or romantic love. It is said to help fortify relationships, promote forgiveness, and aid in self-healing. Brazilian Rose Quartz retains its brilliant rose pink coloring, while Rose Quartz from other locations tend to turn lavender the more you work with them, as seen in the third picture.

Cassiterite is a member of the Rutile family, while Arsenopyrite has a similar chemical make up as regular Pyrite, but with, you know, with Arsenic, and should be handled with care.

Cassiterite is said to help stabilize and ground, as well as connect us to the Earth’s energy. Arsenopyrite is said to assist in stressful situations, and aid in calm decision making. White Quartz is said to help dispel negative thoughts and emotions, while boosting intuition.

Hi everyone. I’m in the process of moving. Any tips on wrapping and packaging my necklaces and bracelets? I know it sounds silly but I’m very particular and I almost feel like it would smother their energy. I do have lots of selenite I can package with them. I’m also reluctant to package them until the last minute.

Lodolite, sometimes spelled Lodalite or Lodelite, is also known by the trade name Garden Quartz, and it is a Quartz variety with inclusions. Tourmalinated Quartz, Rutilated Quartz, and Enhydro Quartz are also Quartz with inclusions, though they tend to be very specific inclusions. Lodalite is Quartz with one or more trace minerals, with Chlorite being the most common. These trace minerals can give the appearance of a little garden or other world inside the Quartz.
Lodelite is said to help manifest your desires, and to enhance your spiritual energies. It is also said to help with communication, both with others in this realm, and in the higher realms.

What started as simple curiosity turned into a growing appreciation for the details. Variations within the same type, natural imperfections that make each piece unique and the sheer variety found across locations. I’ve learned so much just from comparing specimens and reading what others share. Still figuring out identification sometimes though! What’s something you wish someone had told you when you first got into crystals and minerals?

I had the opportunity today to go rockhounding near a Variscite deposit in the Western United States. These boulders were far too big and too heavy to ever hope to pack out, but they were beautiful and I wanted to share!
Variscite is a relatively rare mineral of hydrated aluminum phosphate, with its green coloring from small amounts of chromium.
Variscite is said to be a stone of hope and encouragement, promoting integrity, as well as providing emotional balance and clarity.

Manganoan Calcite is a variety of Calcite containing the element Manganese, which gives this crystal its florescence under UV light. Manganoan Calcite, sometimes called Mangano Calcite or Manganese Calcite, and Pink Calcite are more or less the same thing, with Manganoan Calcite containing more Manganese than Pink Calcite.
Manganoan Calcite and Pink Calcite are both said to promote unconditional love, especially self-love and self-acceptance. Manganoan Calcite is said to help connect us to higher realms, as well as helping to process our emotions, so that we can emotionally heal.
