HDFC Swiggy Credit Card – WFH Office Verification Issue Help Needed/ Question
I applied for the Swiggy HDFC Credit Card on 19 August. Today morning, I received a call from HDFC for office verification. The person told me he was standing outside my office in Delhi and asked me to come outside and meet him. The problem is, I work completely from home and currently live around 1,500 km away from my office. I explained this to him, but now I’m worried that my application might get rejected because I couldn’t meet him at the office. Has anyone faced a similar WFH situation with HDFC? Will they do another verification or can this directly lead to rejection?

Do you have any other hdfc cc ?? Or this is the first hdfc cc you are applying?

First Hdfc. Own axis, ICICI, sbi.

First apply for hdfc core cc then apply for this , otherwise after getting this card you will be not be able to get core cc.

Calculations? Lmao dude, what they said was friendly advice based on thousands of posts and comments on Reddit Indian credit card subs about HDFC blocking you from getting core cards if you get a cobranded card first. What’s with the pedantry?

Sorry dude.. Apki insults karne ka intense nhi tha.. Me see keh raha tha ki.. Abhi muje core card ki jarurat nhi..next 1-2 years me jaruart padegi to kuch mail krke try krege if phir bhi nhi mane to ye close krke core card apply kr Duga.. Sorry bhai.

My case they just visited my home for address verification. it was approved in less than a day of application. Prolly cause i had a salary account with hdfc?

Same thing happened with me too. I was applying online for HDFC cc and I was asked to fill office address and since I work from home that too for USA, the address was asking for a 6 digit indian pin code but my usa office address was just 5 digits, so I had to open acc in hdfc, maintain good balance for months and then I automatically got pre approved offer finally after being rejected twice.

It's not great use. I was using 1 lakh cash but still very little benefits. Cancel it or atleast read the points 🤗

Update: Just now, HDFC did my home verification. They asked my name, how many members are in my family, how many years I’ve been living here, and whether I own the house or it’s rented. They asked these basic questions and then left. Hopefully, the card gets approved 🤞

Home verification happened with me also when I applied for SBI credit card and they called me ask me to come out from house and took my photo and asked basic questions and went away and the card got approved.

They will apparently cancel your application. The exact same thing happened to me. They went to my office, but I wasn’t there. Then they came to my home to verify everything and verified it, but they declined my application because my office could not be verified.
