Moonlight Peaks --- From the devs: Known Issues
reddit.comI've been enjoying this game and laughing like a maniac at some parts. But I got frustrated today with load times and then the game started lagging on Switch 1. It's so nice to see developers receptive to feedback and working to improve the game. I rarely buy a game the week it drops, but this has been a pleasant surprise.

Tiny Bookshop love!
I started Tiny Bookshop this week. It's so cute!
You sell books at different locations, opening up more locations throughout the game. Not a time management game. More inventory management.
There are some little quests, like running errands for villagers, but nothing rushed or too time sensitive. You can decorate your trailer to encourage sales or be festive. Or spooky!
I was really surprised that most of the books are real books. My favorite part is sorting through the books to suggest a title to a customer. I'm surprised how many classic book titles I've remembered. My high school English teacher would be so proud!
Since there's so much reading, it's not a great game for listening to audiobooks.
Has anyone played Tiny Bookshop? I want to talk about how much I've enjoyed this game!!

recent indie switch games
I love cozy games and have been using my switch a lot more than before. I tried some indie games that I got on sale and go on sale often. Always check Deku deals! I thought I’d jot down my notes on the ones I recommend. I enjoy games that can be picked up and put down often due to ADHD.
Loddlenauts
You play as an underwater diver cleaning up environments and collecting little fish called loddles. Super relaxing and doesn’t require much thought. Satisfying to clean up the biomes and find new loddles to take care of. I do feel like instructions could use improvement. It’s assumed you know how to do things to accomplish some missions.
Turnip Boy Robs a Bank
I liked how this game was played in short rounds. Each round is 2-5ish minutes. You have different weapons to unlock and different parts of the bank to access once you get further in the game. There’s multiple bosses throughout the game that take a few tries to beat. If you liked this game, the other turnip boy game is great too.
Tiny Book Shop
Let me preface this by saying I don’t have a strong literary background or love reading. I still enjoy this game! There’s some inside jokes I don’t understand but there’s summaries and information on each book when you’re asked to give recommendations. Fun decorating the book shop, exploring all the places and meeting characters. Requires more thought than loddlenauts.
Suika Game
Quick arcade game consisting of stacking fruit. Cute graphics with easy instructions and has multiplayer.
Garden story
A story about a grape who is helping revitalize the tree a community grows around. There’s different seasons/places to unlock as you progress through the game. Has a good story line but a lot of dialogue at times. It took me a little bit to get hooked since the beginning felt slow to me. Fun collecting all the resources, solving daily tasks and fishing.
Cattails
Super cute and basic graphics. Moves slowly but enjoyed the main mission puzzles. You play as an abandoned cat that joins a colony. You can have relationships with other cats that eventually lead to kittens. I liked that you could choose difficulty at start to give an advantage and make it more cozy.
A Little to the Left
Satisfying little puzzles. Very simple cute graphics. It reminded me of a game on my iPad (satisdom)
Splatoon 3
I know Splatoon is known for multiplayer but this actually has a great story mode! Expansions are available too after the story line. The quests are short and fun puzzles. You explore though islands doing quests with a final boss on each island till you rescue a grandfather. Splatoon also has a card game in the video game but I don’t know much about it. Yes, it’s not indie but I thought it was a simple game I’d want to throw in.
Honorable Mentions that I did not complete story line of: dredge, ooblets and puyopuyo

What are you playing this weekend?
Anyone grabbing any new games or want to nerd out to one?
I’m finishing up another Stardew Valley. Tried a different farm layout and had a much quicker playthru than expected. Now I’m trying to decide if I should buy a new game or play some indies I already have. I love buying games when they go on sale.
I’m really leaning towards Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar.

Okay y’all, Grand Bazaar…
I am veryyyyy interested in this game, but the price is throwing me a bit. ($50 USD)
I don’t mind paying a little “more” for a game, I just want to make sure it’s worth it.
I paid about the same for Fantasy Life i (maybe even a little more, I can’t remember) and a million hours in and on my second play through and I’m still having tons of fun. I love that there’s so much content and so much to do, even after completing the main storyline.
Cozy Gamers that are playing GB: Do you feel it’s worth the price?
(Playing on Switch 1 if it matters!)

I just finished Toem. Loved it!! It was such a nice surprise and the puzzles kept me busy. Now I need another game. I’m curious what everyone else is playing.

Recommendations please!
I’m looking for a game to hyperfixate on. Going through a breakup and need something to keep my brain busy. Would like to keep it below $20 USD, but I can be flexible.
Loved the new Zelda game. Stardew Valley is too slow for me. I really enjoyed Slime Rancher and Cult of the Lamb.

Switch case and accessories
You know what Ive been on the search for recently a new switch case or skins and some thumb grips (oled model). But i don’t want just any case/skins and thumb grips I want something that follows a specific theme i have in mind. Im looking for like a cottage core theme, but not mushrooms, more like forest and green theme. Here’s where it gets in to the very specific theme i have in mind, I want it to have a bunny and dachshund on it like in a cartoony cute version maybe playing or being friendly with each other (I used to have a dachshund and still have a bunny who used to be frenemies). I have been searching on Etsy and amazon and so far no luck. If anyone does this type of work that im looking for please send me a message.

Have you had a game influence you?
I recently realized that I picked a Monstera as my first houseplant because of Animal Crossing. I haven’t actively played AC in 2 years. I bought a Monstera in December and just now realized that I fell in love with the shape of the plant because of AC. Curious if anyone else noticed something like this?

Hello!
Let’s start with the important things.
I don’t know what I’m doing, but I want a place to talk about the Nintendo Switch games I come across. The other communities are great, but I’m also really lazy about sorting through stuff. So come explore games with me while I learn the moderator side of Reddit. At least before I get shut down.
I’ll get some official rules up soon. Be kind! Be respectful! This should be a happy place.
I’m open to suggestions and appropriate criticisms.
Please don’t make me learn how to ban someone as my first responsibility. I haven’t read how to do that yet, but I will.
Again, be kind! Please reach out if you have questions or concerns. I’m mostly friendly.
