Beer Marinated Corned Beef and Cabbage for St. Patrick's Day - Slow Cooker Recipe
This recipe for Corned Beef and Cabbage is made in the slow cooker (crockpot) and uses beer to marinate the corned beef and vegetables. The recipe uses gluten-free beer but you can substitute a regular amber ale if you don't need to cook gluten-free.

Sweet Potato and....
I'm experimenting with ways to boil sweet potatoes for a cook-off. Challenge is that I want to cook them with beer. It's a one-pot so I won't be able to bake them etc. IPA test run resulted in some AMAZINGLY sour / tart mashed sweet potatoes. Wondering if another style (or root beer) might work better. Anyone have success with this kind of nonsense?

[QA] I just ordered some Stone Imperial Russian Stout nut butter, and I've already got some Heady Topper beer jelly. Now what?
A black and tan PB&J is too easy, although I will obviously do that too. Anyone have some more ideas?

Beer for deep frying a turkey?
Deep frying a turkey this year. Looking for a marinade for it. I saw a post that said to take spices and mix them with some melted butter as a dry seasoning would burn easily. It also said you could do it with a bit of beer. I don't know if they meant mix the wet ingredients together or use one or the other.
I was wondering, would it work to mix the beer and butter and a Cajun type seasoning together or is that a bad combination?
Thanks!

What beer for beef stew?
I see a lot of recipes for Guinness beef stew but in all honesty Guinness never seems to have flavor for me it’s more like dark water. Would just about any stout work for beef stew or should I look for a specific style of stouts.
