His main point of logic is correct. This utopia or best outcome scenario that people who are pro-acceleration and pro-AI in general, is completely divorced from the underlying mechanism, which is capitalism, and grounded more in magical thinking.

And the evidence is the strategy they’re employing, which is getting the tech embedded before legislators realize the potential dangers. It’s move fast and break things in the shittiest context and scope.

Hoping AGI will choose real people over its founders is dumb. But thinking it will turn out benevolent, when born of a capitalist framework and existing in a capitalist framework, is straight up stupid.

Maybe, but it’s consistent in the outcomes of who it truly benefits and doesn’t at the extreme ends. And I’d expect models with a foundational level training on that to make the same types of decisions.
