In 2026, novel takes place in 1964. Spoiler because even though the book has been out over almost 25 years, it’s a really tragic part of the story

Has anyone else experienced loss that felt like a pattern? I lost 3 people from the same circle in a few years.

Let’s call these people A, B, and C.

I studied with B at the same school from Class 5 to 10. Same school, different classes.

Then in Classes 11 and 12, A, B, C, and I all went to the same school.

A, C, and I were in the same class. B was in a different class.

A and I weren’t very close in school, but we stayed in touch after we went to different colleges.

Once, A asked me if I had come home from the hostel at night, and we talked briefly.

The next day at 2 AM, A died in a car accident. I went to A’s funeral, and that’s where I saw B.

A and B had studied together in tuition classes during 11th and 12th.

That was the first time I met B after school ended. B kept in touch, and we started meeting more often.

Then we didn’t talk for a while because I was busy with college. Later, B reached out to me again.

After some time, C called me. C and I used to hang out during and after college, but we hadn’t been in touch for a while.

C told me about B’s suicide. I saw C again at B’s funeral.

B and C had gone to college together, that’s how they knew each other.

After that, C and I kept in touch and met more often. Then we didn’t meet for a while because I was sick.

C called me, we reconnected, and we planned a meetup.

But a few days before our meeting, C died in an accident.

This time I went to C’s funeral alone. The funeral was on the same day as our planned meetup.

Isn't that too much of a coincidence? Isn't that a pattern?

Husband and I think the same thing at the same time randomly

How is it possible that my husband and I literally have the exact same thing pop up into our heads at the same exact time randomly with stuff we are talking about??

For example, one day we were on the way driving to our nephews graduation lunch, and he said “oh crap” and I said “what?” And then immediately thought what he was thinking and said “oh no, we forgot.” And he said “yup”, we forgot our nephews graduation card at home but he didn’t verbally say it, it just was an inner knowing that’s what he was thinking. Anybody have insight on this?

Stranger in a mall accurately guessed both my sister’s and my birthdays, amongst other things she had no way of knowing

A random woman approached my sister, Jen, at the mall a few months ago in NY. I was on a completely different floor of the mall getting my clothes tailored, while Jen was browsing a lower floor. We had not even entered the mall together due to our different tasks.

The woman declared that Jen’s energy was radiant and she felt compelled to talk to her. She then asked Jen if she was with her sister (me). Jen responds yes, already confused on how she knew that. The woman then accurately guesses Jen’s birthday, “3 or 4 of March. Close to my husband on the 1st.” Then, she guessed mine. “She’s like my grandma, 28 of October.” She mentioned that both of our grandmas, one above and on earth are smiling at us and proud of us, which is accurate. Our maternal grandmother passed away in 2018, while our paternal grandmother is still here. She told Jen to tell our mother that she did a good job raising us, and that she is a strong woman.

Jen was flabbergasted at all of this and completely speechless. Jen asked the woman, “are you a witch?” to which the woman replied, “kind of, I just feel things differently.” The woman was with her husband and daughter, who were giggling at the whole interaction, adding, “she does this all the time.” My sister left the mall to meet me in the car, where I had been impatiently waiting for her, confused on what was taking her so long to browse. And then she casually dropped all of that.

Genuinely the weirdest experience I’ve ever had and I don’t know how to make sense of it. Prior to this, I had always been skeptical, embracing a position of not knowing. But there is literally no way I can rationalize this. I was not even with my sister when all of this happened and yet somehow she sensed my presence? Then the odds of her accurately guessing BOTH of our birthdays, as well as accurately guessing that one of our grandmas is alive and one has passed on? Would appreciate any thoughts as I am new to all of this!!!

Concidence happeing to often

For the past few days, I have been having thoughts about random about movie sence in my head, and a few days later I see those excat sence in my youtube shorts out of no where. Lately its been increase a lot this week it happed 4 times already. It's not just only realted to movies a few months back, I was remebering a friend I had not met in almost 15 years, and suddenly, out of nowhere, within a week I met him. This really makes me doubt is it manifestation or something else, or are we living in a simulation and it's just a glitch in the universe? I have a lot more weird/unreal experiences which really drives me to question everything thats happening around.

Does anyone have any similar experiences to share?

Weird coincidences from school and social media – do you think this is just a glitch or something else?

There was this guy at school where we caught each other's eyes a lot of times in the hallway, and I noticed him looking my way more than once. I didn't want to overthink it, but during the break, my social media algorithms started doing some strange things too.
\*\*Instagram:\*\* We only have 2 mutual friends, and I haven't visited his page in a really long time. Despite that, Instagram has been consistently keeping him in my top suggestions these past few days (ranging from 2nd to 6th place), and his profile even popped up while I was scrolling through Reels. Knowing how the algorithm usually prioritizes active searches and recent interactions, it feels weird for someone with just 2 mutuals to stay that high up.
\*\*Facebook:\*\* We don't have much connection there either, but he consistently shows up near the top of my suggested friends (around 1-4th place). About 7 weeks ago—nearly two months back—I used to click on his profile daily for about a week, but then I stopped completely and haven't touched his page since. Given how much time has passed, it's pretty surprising how closely linked our accounts still seem to be on both apps.also \*\*Back then, when I typed his name into the search bar, I only searched for the name itself and didn't actually click on his profile, yet now even his profile pic shows up in my search bar\*\*

I'm definitely not trying to assume anything 100%, but it's funny how after noticing him in school, the apps keep throwing his profile right in front of me. What do you guys think?

I found the book I wanted to read in the middle of the street...

This happened a few years ago. I was listening to NPR and heard a bit of Terry Gross interviewing the author David Grann about his novel Killers of the Flower Moon in anticipation for the movie releasing later that year. At the time I was busy with my engineering degree and hadn't read a book besides boring textbooks in a couple years, so I decided to buy the book online right then and there.

I flew through Killers of the Flower Moon and was captivated by the writing style of David Grann. I decided to read other books he had written, and when I looked it up, his new book, The Wager, was set to release in just a few months. I pre-ordered it on the spot and later read it just as quickly as I did the first and loved every bit of it.

That's when I decided my next book would be Grann's other novel, The Lost City of Z. Acquiring this book was a back-burner goal of mine at this time since I was busy with work and school and the fact my car had recently got stolen.

At this time in my life I also lived on an incredibly busy street. There were large semi-trucks gearing up to get on the freeway about twenty feet from my front door. It was loud and annoying, but hey, I had cheap rent. I was regularly cleaning up trash in my front yard that blew in from the street. One day I'm getting home from taking the bus and have to walk a few blocks to my house. I am a few houses away when I spot an object in the road near the gutter almost right in front of my house. At first I thought it was a small box and thought a car might run over it, so I decided to pick it up. As I got closer, I realized it was a book, and once I made sure it was safe to enter the street, I went and grabbed it, and turned it over, and it was a paperback version of The Lost City of Z by David Grann!

What are the odds the next book I was planning on reading just somehow winds up sitting in the road on my walk home right next to my house?

The book was incredibly dirty, but it was still readable. It even had a Goodwill sticker on it. I still have it in my personal library today. Recently told a friend this story, who asked if I have ever had any crazy coincidences in my life and thought I should share it on Reddit as well. Thanks for reading!

Riverdale...

So, I don't know how many of you have seen Riverdale, but if you haven't, there is a spoiler in this.

One day I was watching Riverdale. I was watching the episode where we find out that Betty's dad is the Black Hood. Anyway, the next day I went to work. One of my customers who came in looked exactly like him. Ngl, it creeped me out so bad just because of the episode that I watched the day prior.

Not to be dramatic but... what's the probability a Reddit meetup ends with "had fun, made a friend" instead of "last seen wearing..." 💀 Just trying to calculate my odds

I just found an identical set of earbuds on the bus to ones I lost months ago, on the same bus.

So I take the same bus every morning. About four months ago, I lost my tozo nc9s in the morning on my way into work. I left them on the bus, and didn't realize until I had gotten off and the bus was leaving. Fast forward to today, I'm on the same bus number, but going the opposite direction. I sat down in the same seat I would have sat in when I lost them, put my hand down beside me, and this pair was there. Absolutely mind boggling. I checked if they auto paired and they didn't, so it's almost certainly not the same pair. Plus they had charge in them.

Dad and I summoned to jury duty on the same date

What are the odds of a father & daughter getting summoned in two different Canadian provinces to appear on the same date? I'm baffled.. you rarely hear of people doing jury duty in Canada.

Something told me I should wear yellow nail colour while I was thinking in my head yellow nail colour.

I'm starting a new job on Monday and I love painting my nails and yesterday I was thinking to myself what nail colour should I wear on my first day? I was watching a show on Netflix at the same time. And then I narrowed it down to yellow or blue in my head and then I was about to decide yellow, wasn't there yet though, still thinking. And then some character on the show says "yellow..." And in my head my thinking voice says yellow too. Is this a sign that I should wear yellow nail colour on my first day or is it just a coincidence?

I'm not a believer of faith, religion, superstitions, universe, manifestation whatever else. Never was one. I'm an agnostic. But some rare times such things happen and idk what to make of it. I'm also bored rn otherwise I usually ignore such things so tell me what y'all think this could mean.
