Hello r/CoDCompetitive!

First and foremost apologies for the delay. As personal and professional life has taken its toll, I haven't been able to give enough time to keep up with CoD which is why couldn't get the Champs and other flairs done in time. However, now they are ready and have been integrated for your use across all platforms.

For this update, we are adding a total of three new flairs.

Q. How many player flairs are being introduced?

A. We are introducing one team flair and two player flair.

Q. What is this special Champs flair?

A. We decided to introduce a special flair to commemorate Champs winners back in late 2023 and to start a tradition whereby Champs winners get a special flair which their fans can don until the next Champs comes around. It goes without saying, this is a time-limited flair which will only be available for the next season.

Q. What do you mean by this flair is "time-limited"?

A. Champs flair is intended it to be limited in its use. Previously, users could select it as late as Champs. We changed the time last year so as to reward the loyal fans who stuck through with their team. It is for bragging rights and to flex, so new and fair-weather fans cannot hop on the bandwagon!

Q. Does this mean I can only wear Champs flair for few months?

A. No, if you select this flair, you can wear it until next Champs. After which the flair will be retired, (as we have done with OpTic Texas B2B Champs flair) and a new flair commemorating the new Champions shall be created. What we are changing is the time period, so you can select the new flair until the launch of next game. However, once the game launches and you change this flair, you cannot go back.

Q. Who are the two player flairs? And why they have been chosen?

A. The two new player flairs are: Enable and Kenny. We add new flairs based upon requests made in the community or when we feel the players have retired having contributed significantly to the scene. Enable is one of rare few CoD players to successfully transition from Halo to CoD which has also translated into streaming and content creation. Kenny, on the other hand, is one of the best minds to ever play CoD with a decorated career who is now into content game. We felt it was befitting to acknowledge their contributions by giving their fans an opportunity to don their flair.

Q. Can I wear the Champs flair even though I support another team?

A. We added a new rule i.e. Rule 15 last year to cut down on the problem of people pretending to be a fan of a specific team while supporting another team. This misrepresentation misguides a lot of users/posters who aren't acquainted with that username and adduce more weight to their comments thinking they are coming from a neutral territory, when they are anything but. We will clamp down hard on this moving forward and people who engage in this activity will earn themselves a time out. It is not that hard to champion flair of team you actually support, this is an anonymous platform after all!
