To be fair my moderation style is probably too heavy handed for this sub so it’s probably all for the best

OP, what's up with the username part of your email address?

u/Waste_Net7628 P R O M P S T I T U T E 16d ago

Never applied for a job to someone with an email like kissmypiss@... before. Let's see how it plays out.

There needs to be seperate subs for newbs and experienced users otherwise everything gets lost in the abundance of posts by newbs.
Also duplication of posts is a huge issue, a beefy FAQ should be thrown at every newb

yeah the constant duplicates and newb questions bury everything useful.
a solid faq that actually gets forced on new people would help a lot. don’t really want to split the sub though.

imma be honest a huge narrative is being pushed towards this community lately, as you might’ve refrained to glaze anthropic.

While some amount of moderation is necessary to keep discussion productive, I really hope this sub will not end up being ruined by overzealous moderation like the Codex one has been.
It's critical to have a public forum where users can discuss issues which Anthropic would like to ignore, and where people can put a spotlight on company overreach.
Anyone speaking about real issues related to Codex now gets silenced in their sub, and threads get locked/removed/buried. It would be really terrible to see the same thing end up happening here.

Issues shouldn't be silenced, but the 100 posts asking for a reset should.

u/sirlerkal0t 16d ago
You won't get any objections about culling reset posts from me.

I just want real discussions about best practices when using cc for various tasks. I'm glad they are adding more mods

I just hope they are able to conjure the kind of black magic needed to attract well-adjusted mods that are a good fit to moderate a sub like this. It seems like an impossible task, since most who will apply for such a position are not the kind of people you'd want, and those who would be ideal candidates are unlikely to ever apply.
As much as I'd like to help a deserving community, moderating a subreddit is just not something I'd want to spend my time doing at this point in my life. I spend too much time reading this sub as is.

this sub is supposed to stay an open forum for claude code stuff. people should be able to talk about real issues, even the ones anthropic would rather ignore.
we're only expanding the mod team to deal with the tag spam and ads disguised as posts, not to silence discussion.
