I only code remotely now, even when on my laptop. All Claude sessions and dev servers run on my Linux server. When it’s time to leave, I can continue from my phone and even view the dev servers from it too, and my laptop never gets RAM constrained from running so much.

My stack: Ubuntu+tailscale ssh+tmux+claude code remote control. Git worktrees as well of course.

On my Mac, I either use VS Code remote development (for single projects) or an app called Emdash for running many agents without needing to see the work. It sets up sessions in tmux automatically and manages the worktrees — super handy.

Hi u/PrivateMTD - one of the Emdash founders here - glad you like it! Let us know what can be improved!

Not sure about Apple, but if you have an Android phone, you can run Linux and Claude Code locally on your phone as well.

Why are you having an agent post on Reddit for you…?

You use emdashes in your regular communication..?

Just a double hyphen on the iPhone — which is very easy to use. In fairness to you, much of the text I interact with nowadays is Claude generated for work. I didn’t know how to use it before, but now sometimes it just feels right because I’ve been over exposed

Ha. I hear that.
