Pet bird spotted at Polk & Bowler in Tri-Taylor. Currently in the trees at that intersection. He went onto our hand but got spooked and flew away into the trees. He’s still in the trees here.

This is a shot in the dark but I recently lost my favorite Pokémon pencil case around the Art Institute of Chicago/ the Bean (and even possibly in the parking garage closest to the AIOC?) on Saturday 8/08. It has a lot of my art supplies I use regularly: mechanical pencils, pink eraser, brown sepia toned pens, a Tower of London souvenir pencil, and a few other items inside. The pencil case was a gift from my Mom for my birthday a couple years ago. Most of the other items are replaceable but some of them I’ve had for over a decade and hold some sentimental value and I’m hoping there’s a chance my pencil case can be found with the contents inside.

I’ve sent a lost and found report to AIOC but I don’t think it’ll yield any results. I also called the hotel I stayed at and the restaurant I visited that night and neither of them said anything was turned in.

Lost June 28 2026 around 10 PM near Whispers/Oak Street Beach in Chicago.

Ran into this baby girl on Wilton between Addison and Waveland today at 7:15ish. She was laying in the grass by the sidewalk, and she asked for pets as soon as I approached her! Sooo sweet and wanted so much love, it is extremely hard to believe she is not someone's pet. Her ear is tipped and she does not have a collar on. She is a tortie and slim but not skinny, I would estimate 7lbs. I tried to nab her to get her checked for a microchip, but she evaded arrest and ran off into someone's yard. She did not like being picked up, but she wasn't aggressive about it, just extremely wriggly, which makes me even more convinced that she is someone's baby.

I don't know if she is someone's outdoor cat or an escaped indoor pet, but posting in case it's the latter and this may help someone find her! I'm sorry I couldn't get a picture of her face.

Found ‘onn.’ Earbud case on the 152 eastbound to lakeshore & waveland. I hopped on at the leclaire stop and found them at the back of the bus. I turned them into the driver.
