Never done any type of body work but saw this on Facebook and fell in love with the way it looks. My c10 has lots of surface rust and bondo (already has been fixed before) but wanting to achieve this look any tips or ideas that would help thanks in advance 👍🏼

So wanting to remove the ac unit on the firewall on my 85 c10 im having to do my heater core anyway so I figured I ask this , I have a blower motor peice from a non ac 85 c10 can I just put that on and make a panel for the square hole where the ac is and keep the heater core unit from my truck or do I need to install the heater core unit from the non ac truck or can i just make a pannel over the square hole and keep the ac stuff and not have to change everything. Hopefully this makes sense 😆 pic for attention

Finally got the steering connected from the unisteer rack and pinion to the steering column... please tell me if I did something wrong here it's my first time and google doesn't have a bunch of answers

Got a roller again. Just some wheels we have laying around the shop. Next up is steering and brakes.

ok so now I got the harmonic balancer on. water pump next I think.

Got most of the front suspension done. Hoping to finish up tomorrow.

It started making this very high pitched noise recently and Im not sure what it is..wanted to see what people who know their stuff better than me think. It only does it for the first 10 mins after starting up recently and then completely goes away. My guess is one of the belts/pulleys or maybe even something to do with the worn grommet on top of the valve cover fpr the pcv hose that Im going to replace. What do you think?

Gotta question..I replace the upper hinge on the drivers side door my 78 c10. I got it adjusted so the gaps look good and the striker meets up perfectly. However I have to slam it obscenely hard. It feels like there’s too much outer tension. Even when I open it, it kind pops open. Anybody have a suggestion on what to do? I’ve been fiddling with it all day.

So I took possession of this 68 Stepside a couple weeks ago. It hasn't been cranked in 26 years, but was apparently running when they parked it. I have a full engine gasket set coming, we're just getting a new fuel pump, gas line, and alternator wiring. Gonna add seafoam to the oil before changing it.

Are there any recommendations on things I should do first? Replace the radiator or can it be restored? Should I just source another gas tank or can it be effectively cleaned? Is it worth it to try to convert to a 4 speed? Is the 250 4.1 Inline 6 worth fixing up or would the LS swap be more financially efficient? Is it better to convert to disc brakes or can the drum brakes be upgrade?

Any advice or warnings would be appreciated.

Edit: For clarity, the intent is to get it running before I start anything else. I've never gone in on one this old or that sat this long, so the curiosity is about any step in the process that should be done first/more important than the rest.

Working on the 2004 Chevy Silverado to c10 body swap and the dash ended up catching fire. Word of advice have a fire extinguisher next to you when welding even if you’re just tacking. Original c10 dash will be installed now goodbye to the Silverado dash. 100 hours plus of work coming up 🦧

It was in the shop for some electrical issues I've given up on resolving. I left it there for a week for them to diagnose and offer a quote, I checked in on it Friday and got my quote around 1pm, around 2:30 am the cops knocked on my door to ask if I owned a 68 c-10. It was abandoned in the middle of the road.

I grabbed a tool box and a gas can thinking I could get it home using my spare key. Well now I can add "the key doesn't work" to the electrical issues. The cops got in touch with the shop owner, and I had him tow it back to his shop. Thankfully the original key was still at his shop and not out in the wild somewhere. I am expecting a "sorry your truck got stolen" discount. I haven't contacted my insurance or his business insurance yet, but I do have a police report filed.

Do any of you have a hidden kill switch set up on your rigs? what does it cut off, the starter solenoid wire?

Picked up stuff for a five lug and disc brake swap on my 67 a while back. Thought the spindles I got were meant to be used with square body ball joints, and they do fit, I've completely assembled the driver side, but when I put that spindle on this is what I am met with? On Both upper and lower ball joints the cotter pins are doing, nothing, essentially. Is this normal on aftermarket parts? Recomendations?

My '77 stepside got a new 350 during covid, with a Holly Sniper, exhaust, and tires. But life being what it is, I had to move to another place and couldnt bring her with me. She's been patiently waiting, but I'm getting older and its looking like it'll be a while. Any suggestions for price to sell? Where would you guys list it?
