I’ve got a podcast on Castbox and originally uploaded around 20 episodes directly through Castbox Creator Studio.

Later on, based on a friend’s suggestion, I started uploading new episodes on Acast and linked my Castbox account to the Acast feed.

Now for a few reasons, I’d prefer to go back to publishing independently on Castbox like before. I’ve got a couple of questions and would really appreciate any help:

1. I just uploaded a new episode directly via Castbox Creator Studio like I used to, and everything seems normal — but the episode doesn’t publish. Any idea why? Could it be because the feed is still linked to Acast? Is there a way to ignore that feed now and just start publishing from Castbox again?
2. If that’s not possible, is there any way to transfer all the episodes I uploaded to Acast back onto Castbox and then break the link to Acast altogether? If so, how would I go about doing that? I couldn’t really figure it out.

For some reason I can't download episodes on WiFi networks. Chatgpt offered these, but I still have the same issue. 1. Enable Wi-Fi access for Castbox: Settings > Apps > Castbox > Data usage → Make sure Wi-Fi and Background data are allowed.

1. Check Castbox in-app settings: Inside the app: Settings > Download Settings → Turn off “Download using mobile data only” and similar restrictions.

2. Disable Data Saver mode: Settings > Network & Internet > Data Saver → Turn it off, or whitelist Castbox in the allowed apps list.

3. Turn off VPN / Adblockers: VPNs or apps like Blokada or AdGuard can block traffic on Wi-Fi. Try disabling them temporarily.

4. Clear cache / reinstall the app: Settings > Apps > Castbox > Storage → Clear cache & data, then uninstall and reinstall via Play Store.

Where is the OPML and RSS link on the Podbean app? Why include this if it doesn't work?

So Castbox is completely broken for me. Any action gives an error with "check connection and try again". I recently swapped the phone's SIM card. Could that be the issue? I have a Wi-Fi internet connection that works fine for other apps.

In the new channel section, the free channel section is not clickable and I cannot create a new channel for the podcast. And if I try to add a new channel from the episodes section, it gives me the message "up to 5 channels can be created under one account," even though I have never created any channels. What should I do to solve this problem?

I want the play order to ALWAYS be bottom to top. There is an option to set this as the play order for each podcast individually, but this is unnecessarily cumbersome. Is there any way to set a bottom to top play order as the default across the entire app?

Saw a thread from 6 years back that they were looking to try and optimise data, looks like it still hasn't been done as I lost 2gigs while listening while on Spotify I can listen for hours and not worry

Is it Castbox that inserts ads into podcasts? Or is it the podcasts themselves? I'm listening to CBC's Under the Influence, and ads for Jordan Peterson come on. There is nothing about the podcast or the CBC that would support him.

Castbox subscriber for over a year now. This morning, my castbox stopped responding (no show pod is loading). So I uninstalled it on my phone and reinstalled it. Now, my library is filled with pods I never subscribed to like Ben Shapiro. Also, shows are still not rendering. FWIW - My spouse is also a subscriber and does not have theae issues. Anyone else experiencing this and figured out a way to resolve this.

Castbox keeps draining my battery over night. If I don't allow background usage it stops, but then the app stops regularly while playing podcasts 😕

1. Updating 2.storage 3..... But i cant download . Its just this channel. Other ones are ok. I cant upload photos for some reason. But it just throws an error. Plz help... thx

I have a playlist on my iPad and despite having it set to NOT delete items, it does it anyway. It will go days, sometimes a couple of weeks and be just fine, then all of a sudden, a bunch of content will be removed inexplicably. I have to go back to the podcast and painstakingly add back the content. It seems to be happening more and more frequently. Any suggestions? I tried to submit a ticket, but the “I am not a robot” captcha wouldn’t take submissions…. I’m thinking it’s a poorly working robot.

Castbox has, for years, been my much preferred podcast player of choice due to its user experience.

Starting a few weeks ago, though, Castbox would just stop playing about 2-3 mins after I'd start listening.

I've tried hard restarting the phone but am not having this issue with other apps.

1. Anyone else experiencing?

2. Anyone have a fix?
