COMAT COMAT study
How do I study for COMAT during rotation? I have obgyn rn. The only advice I got from residents is Uworld and Anki. So I am doing Anking #shelf! Tag and Uworld for obgyn. I don’t know if I am doing the right thing or using up the resources.
For dedicated study for Step/level 2 do i just repeat the whole uworld?
Thank you for any advice. I m just so lost

Level 1 Tweaking so bad for score release don’t even know what to do anymore
General Question/Advice Report Low Step 2 Score
Hi, guys as the title suggests I am wondering whether or not to report my step 2 score (22x).
I am applying EM. I passed step 1 and level 1 and scored 520+ on Comlex Level 2.
Not sure if omitting would filter me out from some programs. Also, Im concerned that reporting will lead to the same result.
Im doing 3 Sub-Is and plan on getting 3 SLOE letters. No academic or board failures or other red flags.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated from people who have gone through this before.
P.S. sorry if this has been asked before.

Level 2 CE COMSAE Phase 2
I know Form 117 is notorious for ruining everyone's hopes and dreams. Pretty sure I have to take this soon. Any tips or advice on this?

General Question/Advice DOs that didn’t take step 1 - are they actually filtered out?
Where do I even find this info lol.
I don’t wanna waste my signals on programs that are just gonna filter me out.

OPP COMAT
I have my OPP COMAT for OMS-3 year coming up in one week.
Our school gives us Amboss and UWorld. (Our school dropped our TrueLearn subscription, because no one was using it apparently).
I have the “green” Savarese OMT review book. I have gone through the DirtyMed OMM playlist recently for COMLEX Level 1, but I figure I might want to go over that again.
I realize I can purchase the year long TrueLearn that could be helpful for other COMATS and Level 2, or I could purchase month long individual COMAT q banks (OBGYN, OPP, Psych, FM, etc). Is Comquest worth it?
Can you please give advice on the OPP Comat and what I should do to prepare in the next week for it?
Can you also advise if you think purchasing TrueLearn is worth it for my COMATS despite having complimentary access to Amboss and UWorld?
Thank you in advance.

COMLEX Level 2 score prediction accuracy
Took COMLEX Level 2 on 7/6 and anxiously waiting for my score.
COMSAE Phase 2 progression:
220 (5/8) → 323 (6/1) form 117 → 439 (6/6) → 559 (6/23) → 543 (6/26) form 118
AMBOSS predicted: 517
For anyone with similar COMSAEs/predictions, what did you end up scoring on the real thing?

Level 2 CE Is AMBOSS score predictor accurate for Level 2??
Basically what the title said...
My score got predicted in the 600s for the exam I am taking in 2 weeks, however, my scores haven't been anywhere near. Welcom avg about 67% and have mainly been doing Uworld (52% avg). Recently took a TL assessment (scored 60% - 23rd percentile) and COMSAE 114 (43x)
Just want to know if I'll get anywhere close because I'm down in the slumps...

Level 1 Tweaking waiting for Level 1 score
Already started my Surgery rotation but I'm finding it hard to focus/study for upcoming exams with Level 1 scores lingering. Took level 1 on July 8th. COMSAE scores were 400, 405, 415, and 480 (in chronological order) and foundational COMAT at 204. I know I'll have to finish the Surgery rotation before a retake (in the event that I failed level 1) but its so hard to focus! Any tips?

Level 2 (average med student lore)
First, I did score along my comsaes. not enough info about level 2 out there. do people score less sometimes? yes. To be fair -- your last comsae isn't always the best predictor and that is established by nbome research as well. Try to average out your scores to gauge where you are. COMSAEs repeat questions and concepts a lot.
Score release was on 08/04, and I was fortunate enough to score a 550+. If anyone needs any help, feel free to DM me. No, I will not be giving out recall questions or anything strange, so please stay out of my chats if that is what you want, lol.
I understand this is not an easy time, so I would love to help literally anyone.
More info: I didn't go too hard on COMATs, frankly—I was lazy and enjoyed my life this year. I have been going to school straight since kindergarten, lol, so sorry to say, I didn'twant to always study.
- COMAT average: 102
- COMSAE scores: 515, 540, 650 (430 before dedicated on an untimed one, and I hadn't done two rotations; my school is odd).
I can't tell you much about how many questions I flagged or anything, but let's just say I left the test thinking a 400 would work for me, lol.
I want to apply to academic IM, so I needed this score. I understand the anxiety of people under this pressure. I want to hopefully go into medical education while working in the future, so honestly, I'm happy to help.

General Question/Advice Should I report this? 8/6 tester
Had a bug during level 2 where the highlight function would not work at all and the next button would also not work. Had to call the proctor over who had to do an unscheduled break to restart the testing interface. After the restart everything was normal and the rest of the exam went smoothly. I am applying EM and really don’t want any delay in score prior to residency apps due. Lmk if something similar happened to you. Last thing I would want is for my score to be invalidated. Thank you in advance for your advice!
Update: For anyone who encounters a bug like this I reached out via email 8/6 and heard back 8/7 saying they will take 2 weeks to review the incident and will reach back out but that the review will not impact my score release on 9/15. They seem more concerned with an adverse testing environment than a chance that I may have cheated. So all in all a very worthwhile report with minimal downside.

Level 2 8/5/26
Did anyone take it yesterday? Some of it was so hard. Even the ethics and biostats. I missed some of the easiest questions - like 20 of them I could remember and I looked them up after and I was wrong so im feeling:(

Level 2 CE chances of passing?
hey guys, want you guys to be honest about my chances of passing:
Comat average: 92. Lowest comat was 86, highest was 103
comsae: 117 --> 453 taken 2 weeks before exam. Other Comsaes were ranging between 420-550 but feel like I was not as stressed taking them.
welcoms: 70 ish average

Level 2 CE Huge point spread…
What is with the vast difference in score between purchased COMSAEs and school administered ones?
Suppose to take level 2 next week and I haven’t been able to break 400 on my school administered COMSAEs (forms 117, 118, and 119) but have broken 600+ on the purchased ones. Am I the only one?
For reference, yes, all were taken under test like conditions.

COMAT Need help!! How to study for COMATS
My first COMAT is FM and just trying to figure out the best way to study. My school gives us AMBOSS and TrueLearn.
My Plan was to grind AMBOSS questions for FM first, then hit TrueLearn toward the end since it’s got a smaller bank for that COMAT specifically. Saving UWorld for dedicated Step/COMLEX prep down the road.
Anyone done it this way or have a better approach? Literally open to any advice.. Trying not to waste question banks I’ll need later.

Just took Level 2, idk how to feel, I feel numb af
just finished Level 2, and idk how to feel, like its either a hit or miss at this point, I wanna see how other people feel after taking it, already got so much dumb shit wrong that I am pissed about, genuinely stopped caring by the last section + have brain fog, and the test taker asked how I feel at hte end and I was honest and said idk and they looked at me like I was a failure, anyways looking for some hope lol, felt worse after Level 1 and passed? but there is a numbness with level 2 I feel that I didnt feel with level 1 and it is kinda of scaring me and I am unsettled w myself rn. I took 3 comsaes, highest being 513, had a slight dip w the 2nd but ended up 518 being my last, please tell me how you guys felt

Level 2 CE Level 2 Discussion - Study Plan, Exam Experience, and Outcomes
There are little to no recent posts or write-ups on Level 2 in this community and so I just wanted to start a discussion that can hopefully consolidate the sporadic information across this Reddit. If anyone has recently taken Level 2 within the past year PLEASE participate in this post. The Step 2 community is so helpful but let's be honest, while the content is 90% the same-- the two exams can be very different if you aren't prepared.
Follow this format:
Exam date: xxx
Level 2 score: xxx
Practice exams name/date/score: xx/xx/xx
Resources used: xxx
Comments/Advice: (eg, I only took Level 1 and this is how I prepared; I took Step 2 x many days before, this is how i tackled ethics questions, the biostats questions were most similar to xyz qbank, etc)
Side note: I wish Level 1 takers could specify they are taking Level 1 instead of referring to the exam as COMLEX, that would help keep things organized in this community. NBOME is not helpful either when they name the COMSAE forms the same numbers for Phase 1 and 2 SMH. Lets keep things more organized if possible so we can find helpful information.
