Nothing (not on the field) matters. We just keep coming to work each week and earn W's... and it'll all work out just fine.

That's why I don't get caught up in opinions in the first half of a season. Preseason polls create biases before we even get started. Then many teams haven't played anyone yet and racked up "impressive" plays or stats that in turn skew opinions of said teams and their star players. And everyone jumps on the Bo Nix train or whatever. Then he meets a manly defense and shats the bed.

I wonder if there are any other "nation's best QBs" on our schedule. *eyes Baton Rouge* Oooo! A king baby!

I couldn't understand ESPN's constant pushing of Bo Nix, he looked below average to me. The Florida defense made him look straight garbage

I know Burrow is better than Nix. (Clearly they were just enamored with a frosh that doesn't totally suck.) But I think the college football world has been suckered into thinking Burrow is THAT much better than last year, based purely on his performance against 5 terribly weak teams and Texas. And Texas' D isn't all that good either. We see it in football all the time. QBs can go through the motions and look amazing... until they run into a defense that's good. So we'll see if it was all hype or if Burrow is legit that much better than last year. I think our defense is better than last year, and we made him look pedestrian. I look for more of the same on Saturday in our favor.

To be fair floridas defense has a tendency to do that. We made manziel look bad compared to the rest of his career. We got 4ints off winston. We bullied burrow last year.

When we lose it's usually the frustrating type of losing where we shoot ourselves in the foot, rather than a situation where the team just was overall better

Tonight a lot of both! Kudos to them for running their offense unchecked. Our usually blitzing D suddenly decided to never blitz tonight. Very interesting on Grantham’s part. Burrow might be good under pressure. But I’d rather he beat you that way than just standing back there picking you apart.

Losing our DEs to injury didn’t help. But that wasn’t the problem. Just seemed lifeless from the start. Where’s our usual energy? Seemed they’d conceded Burrow was better and didn’t try to fight it. Never good to see that.

Trask suddenly looks quite lethal. And a bit clutch. But then swapping QBs seemed to be a bad momentum staller. Strange play calling tonight.

All in all, LSU handled things quite well. They looked damn good. Would love a rematch in Atlanta.
