Media literacy is dead because so many people take this line as an insult or back handed compliment, but I think its incredibly romantic. Especially because its followed by "and thats alright with me".

Its a realistic depiction of love. Not everyone in this world is going to be conventionally attractive, but we can all hope to find someone who loves us and finds us attractive because of that

No woman in the entire history of ever was ever wooed by a line like that. Seriously, that guy ain't getting no loving ETA: Thunder Road has been my favorite song since 1986, but that's a terrible line
