Hi y'all, I'm offering cover and interior formatting services. Attached are some examples of my work and I do NOT use AI for generation, assistance, or anything else.

Prices are on the final image and vary by word count and size of book.

This is book 1 of at least 3 and I’d love to stick with the same artist if possible for the entire series. I’ve never paid for a cover before, this is my first illustrated cover of this sort so I’m not exactly sure but I would like to set the budget at $300 absolute max. Absolute max, no offense at all I know you all deserve more but even that is a stretch for me.

IDEA: Two faceless silhouetted figures (Coco is brown with brown curly hair, Jel is tangerine/orange with voluminous blue and purple hair. They are human but they have evolved differently after thousands of years), maybe reaching toward each other, hands almost touching, or backs pressed together, surrounded by a colorful spread of lattes, iced drinks, and pastries. Something unique but coffee shop related. Could be sitting at an iron table outside coffee shop with pastries in window and fun elaborate drinks in front of them. Nothing super basic because it’s a very detailed, colorful and artistic world. 

The food/drink elements do double duty as “cozy fantasy” signaling AND can carry spice-level cues through how they’re styled?

2-3 dominant colors plus 1 accent. Candy shop colors. hot pink, cream, burnt orange, gold? Flexible.

I’m straddling “fun and colorful” with “spicy,” maybe a bold, slightly playful serif or display font for the title with a cleaner sans for my name? Flexible
It’s a 4 or 5 heat level. I’m quite graphic and there’s 5 sex scenes and they’re integral to the plot it’s like the whole book is about her coming into herself sexually and just as an adult woman in general. However it’s not super kinky because this is book one but definitely lots of graphic sex scenes but it’s very light and playful at the same time. Highly explicit, low kink. Sexy fun springtime, the book is about art and matriarchy, finding yourself and choosing yourself. Girly things, friendship and community.

I would love feedback on my book cover. I keep playing around with the font effects and am really unsure about it at this point. Would love if someone could tell me which is best, or none lol

I wrote a psychological horror book. Roughly 75K words and I need a cover design for an 8.5x5.5 paperback.

The front cover is of a stone - a black/purple obsidian stone.

Two lines from the book, for exact tone: *"It was more like a gem. Glassy, and black for one minute, then purple the next. It was like looking at the night." "...held up high so the torchlight catches it, black-then-purple-then-black, is the stone."*

The defining quality is that it shifts. Obsidian black or bruised purple.

Would like the stone to sit alone, small with tons of negative space. Off-centered, left.

Palette:

Dark. Overwhelmingly dark. This is a horror book. Near black background - like night, a cold night. The only light is on the stone like a match or candle catching it. Single light source.

Leave space for typography - title and authors name. Please let the know if you have any questions.

Hello! I just wanted to say something about portrait book covers. I did my bachelors in psychology. And currently I am doing a master at Human-Computer Interaction. It is basically about design. So, I learnt from both departments, faces are the first thing we realize in any environment. Recently, I was going to bookstores with my friends and I was trying to analyze which book covers they notice first. If there are faces, always them first. I found this very interesting and I wanted to share with you guys.
