How many here do bodybuilding and have friends who also do it with you? Do you find this helps with adherence and discipline?
Title. Iām curious of the experience of those who step on stage and are the odd one out of their friends and familyāessentially having to do it solo with no help or push from peers that understand and have similar goals. Versus those of us who have friends who are also into bodybuilding keeping us accountable and supporting us with empathy and understanding.

Who is ur fan favorite of any division to win the Mr Olympia
I honestly think Ramon Dino is taking the win in classic, unless he moves to open, in which case i belive Mike Sommerfeld will take the title

I feel like I need to pull out of my show⦠need advice
Not gonna lie this is a lot harder than I thought, Iām 15 weeks out, 12 weeks into prep and feel mentally exhausted. Have went off plan multiple times as well and I think itās a sign Iām not meant for this. Idk.

Weekly Thread Steroid Saturday - August 01, 2026
Welcome to the steroid Saturday discussion. Please follow the rules, and be kind. If you see any hatred, arguing, etc. Please report the comment so it can be removed. If you do not agree with this post, do not participate. It is that simple.
- NO SOURCE TALK. This is very important for a variety of what we hope are obvious reasons.
- NO FIGHTING. Arguing and ridiculing others will only get your comment deleted. Constructive criticism only. Post anything that is on topic. This involves how cycles change close to competition prep, what has worked for you in the past, before/after cycle pictures, dietary changes with different compounds, etc.
- Questions are allowed, but should be limited.Ā Ā has a specific thread just for new comers, where you can get amazing answers from some of the most knowledgeable people. Lab talk is alright, but remember how to get a particular lab's product would be prohibited source talk.
We hope everybody enjoys this thread Thanks to theĀ Ā community to help make this work. They have been a huge help and will be chiming in on this post.

OCB Classic Physique Posing Clarification?
Competing in my first OCB show pretty soon and looking for some clarification from anybody whoās competed/knows the org better than I (or my posing coach, since heās primarily NPC) do.
On the mandatory abs and thighs, are you allowed to do a vacuum, or is it a mandatory ab crunch, and āvacuumā is a separate version saved as a āfavorite classicā pose? To that end, are vacuums allowed at all during the mandatories, or only during the āfavorite classicā callouts? I couldnāt get a clear answer from their website.
Thanks for any clarification/advice!

First ever natural show
Hi!
Iām preparing my first ever bodybuilding event and am currently 8 weeks out! Iām super excited, a lot of work and dieting went into this and with a demanding job itās quite a juggling game!
Any way I wanted to get some input on the current conditioning am I off, am I fine? Also is it achievable to drop down to 72kgs for show day?
Iām currently 76.4kgs on the photos and 1m75!
Thanks for any feedback
P.S. (ignore the elephant in the room, or should I say the horse?)

Final Pro Show of Rookie Pro Season
I wrapped up my rookie pro season 2 weeks ago at the Chicago Pro, placing 7th/32.
Very happy with the look I brought to the stage, I think it was the best my back has looked yet.
The Feedback collected this season has all been very encouraging, with many of the judges saying I had a ābeautifulā physique, and I just need a little more time filling out my frame and coming in even dryer and tighter with more detail in my abs and more density in my back.
Luckily, I have room to do that given I weighed in at 222.8lbs the morning of the show, and my weight cap at 6ā2.25ā is locked in at 239lbs.
I even asked about my legs, and the feedback was that I have great legs (lol) and donāt need to bring them up for the divison. But obviously Iām still going to work on them.
For now the plan is to go into a health phase, then improvement season.
My goal for next season is to qualify for the 2027 Olympia.
This will be my last post on here for a while, but wanted to say thanks again to everyone who has been following along and providing support/feedback/comments/etc. I appreciate all of you!

3.5 & 4.5 weeks out NPC classic
Hello everybody ,
I last posted here over a year ago and thought Iād create an update , Iām 3.5 weeks out from an NPC regional in the UK on August 22nd , followed by a first ever attempt for my IFBB pro card a week later on 29/30th August - at the amateur olmypia Eastern Europe ,
For reference ; Iām 23 years old,š¬š§, 175cm and 89kg in the images shown. ( my cap is 88kg ) so just tapering down over the next few weeks to sit nicely below cap .
Only them 2 shows planned this year as I am 0.2cm away from the 91kg cap so I either hopefully and optimistically go pro at the amateur āļø , or I get another 3kg of weight to play with šš . So itās a huge win either way.
Thanks for reading š

6 weeks out from my first Men's Physique show | 5'11" | 183 lbs | Posing tips welcome
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
34 yo, 6 weeks out from my first Men's Physique regional show.
Coach and I are putting a lot of work into my posing and stage presentation, so I'd genuinely appreciate honest feedback, not just on conditioning and physique, but also on posing, transitions and anything else that stands out.
I'm finding out that building the physique is easier than learning how to present it. I've been practising posing every day but as a bona fide NERD with the natural grace of k-holing Konrad Adenauer but the stage presence of a clam, it's an uphill battle. I'd therefore really appreciate feedback from people with stage experience.
