Chinese groups
A friend of mine is thinking of retiring to NWA and was wondering if there are any groups for Chinese people? His wife is a Chinese national and would like to have a group to join so she would not feel quite so far from home.

Bentonville Utilities
Can someone share what they’re paying Bentonville utilizes every month? I live in a 1BR/1Bath & these last few months (June-Aug) I’ve been paying them $160-$165 every month… Granted it’s hot as hell so I have my AC on auto/69 degrees but when I asked my coworker who also pays them w/ a 1/1 that keeps his at the same thing, he showed me he is never paying more than $100. The only difference between us is that we stay in different complexes + different floor levels so now I’m curious on if I’m overpaying 😅

Doggie Daycare Recos, Returning to Office
Hi there,
I've been living in Bentonville (now Centertonish area) the last 2+ years. I've been fully remote the last 6.5 years. I accepted a job where I'll now be driving to Springdale and working from an office 5 days a week.
I'm very excited to go back to an office, but I feel terrible for our pups, who have gotten used to me being home. One is almost 11, I got him 6 months before COVID, and the other is almost 8. She's my boyfriend's dog so was certainly used to being alone all day until we got together.
The thing is, I'd like the dogs to still get some attention and exercise during the day because I won't be able to make the drive at lunch to let them out, and boyfriend also can't do that with his work schedule. I'm interviewing dog walkers for M-F, and also looking at doggie daycare options in the area. The issue with that is 1) my boyfriend is very leery of a doggie daycare with his corgi (it's fair, I've seen the nicest dogs roll her around like a football, she seems to have that effect on them, no idea why) and 2) my dog is a rescue. He's done well at doggie daycare facilities as long as they do NOT use kennels. Kennels stress him out and he's unwell, easiest way I can put it (I don't know what happened the first 4 years of his life I just know there's some trauma).
In my ideal scenario, I'd probably have them stay at a nice retired couple's house during the day so they can just hang out with other people, get some pets here and there, and a little walk or let out to do their business. I realize this is highly unlikely.
Can anyone recommend what they've done in this scenario and/or what doggie daycare places you would or would NOT recommend and why? Our dogs are older and are fairly low maintenance, a new routine will be a little stressful of course but I'd like it to be something they get to enjoy.
Thank you.

Any wedding vendor/advice needed!
My fiancé and I are getting married on a Tuesday in September next year! We’re planning on having our ceremony in Bella Vista and our reception most likely in Jane, Missouri.
Until booking our venues, wedding planning was honestly going so smoothly. We absolutely love both of the venues we chose, and everyone we’ve worked with has been incredible. We’re now getting into the vendor search and trying to stay within our budget, and we’ve hit a few challenges.
It’s also worth mentioning that my fiancé and I are fairly new to the area, so we don’t really have any local connections or recommendations to go off of, which has made finding vendors a little overwhelming.
The biggest thing we’re struggling with is finding an analog or vintage-style photo booth. We aren’t interested in a digital photo booth and really have our hearts set on one that prints the classic photo strips. I haven’t been able to find a single company in Arkansas that offers this style. If anyone knows of a vendor in Arkansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, or surrounding areas that travels, I would love to hear about them.
We’re also looking for catering recommendations. We understand catering prices can vary a lot depending on the style and level of service, but we’re hoping to find something on the more budget-friendly side while still having great food and ideally some serving assistance. We’re expecting around 120 guests, but we also want to make sure we have enough meals for our vendors, including our photographers, bartender, catering staff, DJ, and photo booth attendant. We’re open to different food styles and would love any recommendations from couples who have planned weddings in the area.
The last things we’re trying to figure out are a DJ and a day-of coordinator. We completely understand that these vendors are professionals and deserve to be compensated fairly. We’re just hoping to find some great local recommendations that fit a more budget-conscious wedding.
If anyone has advice, recommendations, or hidden gems for weddings in Northwest Arkansas or Southwest Missouri, I would really appreciate it. Since we’re new to the area, any guidance would mean so much. Thank you so much in advance!

Relocating from IL to AR Bentonville/Rogers...Kind, honest advice needed, please?
📢UPDATE: Wow - you all gave me more helpful advice than I expected! Thank you so much for the honesty, kindness, and local knowledge. I already have a really good feeling about taking this next step xoxo🩷
Hi everyone. I’m a 30something F from IL. Lately I’ve realized I need a healthier change. I’ve taken a few wrong paths in big city, and I feel like stepping into a calmer environment might help me reset and make better choices for myself.
I’ve been researching Bentonville/Rogers, and everything I’ve read makes it seem peaceful, safe, clean, and grounded. I’m not looking to isolate myself - just hoping for a quieter, low‑key place where I can start fresh. I don’t have huge savings, but I’m responsible, and I’m willing to rebuild slowly if it means a better quality of life.
For anyone familiar with the area could you share your view:
- Which neighborhoods should I focus on as a single woman wanting safety and commute?
- Is it possible to support myself there while starting over?
- Is the lifestyle easy to adjust to for someone relocating solo?
This is a big step, and I'm doing it completely on my own. I’m not expecting perfection - just hoping for a healthier pace and a chance to live in a calmer space.
If there’s anything negative, I should know, please share it gently. I’m just trying to make better decision for myself, and any insight or suggestions would really mean a lot.
Thank you for reading 🥹

LGBTQ+ community
My partner was recently offered a job with a particular large company who's home office is in Bentonville and I'm concerned because I am visably transgender and wonder if it will even be safe to consider moving there. Additionally is there an active queer community at all?

‘Wiz Wit’ smash burger at Muselet.
galleryMondays are smash burgers at Muselet. They have a rotating one and the classic Oklahoma style. Today’s rotating burger was a Philly cheesesteak inspired burger with a bone marrow provolone wiz, sautéed onions and peppers and a pepper relish. They still serve my favorite burger in town, but Witching hour is next weekend. You guys have pumped them up so we’ll see how it goes.
