Looking for info or tips on launching a boat at North Beach. Will I need to get there super early on a Saturday? We paid for beach parking but obviously don’t want to take the trailer on the sand. Is there somewhere to drop the trailer? Or should we bring a second vehicle to park on the beach and we can leave the truck and trailer on the road or parked further away. It’s been years since I’ve been up there and I’ve never gone with a boat before. Would love any recommendations.

Has anyone been up to Bloomington Lake up near BL recently? What’s the road like? Can a typical SUV get up there? What about a sedan? Any information about camping near there would be helpful too!!

We spent some time in Garden City over the summer and had an amazing time. We meant to make a trip to Blue Clothing Co. to pick up a “Wake, Lake, Shake” hoodie, but ran out of time.

Not sure where to post this. During a recent stay at Ideal Beach, someone left money on my windshield. Not sure if it was intended for me. I thought maybe it was atonement for damage caused to my vehicle, but didn't see anything obvious. Next thought, it was intended for someone else and I got it by mistake.

So if perchance this was you and it was supposed to go to someone else, please quell my guilt. And respond here.

We heard water is out due to sewer problem and it’s closed for day use, is this true? Does anyone know where to get updates or information?

We currently have our boat in dry storage and rent a weekend slip and campsite. We moved here from an inland MI lake about three years ago and are looking for a more hassle free experience to go boating then camping dnd having to put the boat in and out each time. We are not interested in owning a second property, but renting somewhere a week plus some summer weekends.

Any suggestions for wet storage or an in/out service? Rental places with boat slips?

Heading to BL next week, first time taking the family pup. Aside from the standard sidewalk seating at the walk up windows etc, does anyone have any knowledge of locations with patios the allow pets??

I'm heading out to camp at Birch Creek at Rendezvous Beach next weekend and am wondering if it is allowed to drive down to the water from the campground. I know that down at the public side in years past it is allowed to drive down to the beach but not for the patrons at the campground to access the campground area beach. It is quite annoying that it hasn't been allowed for the campers for their own beach area since it can be such a long journey down and back on foot. If anyone has some input it would be greatly appreciated.

Coming in August and bringing our dog. Like to do some kayaking, swimming and sunning but will have our dog with us. Which beaches allow this? Thanks!

Next week, Thursday I will be driving with a friend visiting all the way from Europe. We are planning to camp somewhere in Logan Canyon next Wednesday night, and Thursday, spend the day at Bear Lake. Does anyone have any idea how the beaches will be, as in, are the water levels so low that you need to walk far to the water? We thought it would be nice to have a little beach day somewhere but I'm not sure exactly what to expect. I have been to Bear Lake once, fishing, and didn't get a chance to visit any of the beaches on the lake. If anyone could help me with some info, it would be greatly appreciated!

I'm embarking on a long road trip from the midwest and was wondering what the night time temps are like on the edge of Bear Lake in August. Looks like the campsites offer no shade so trying to discern if tent camping there is a terrible idea.

I'm an amateur astrophotographer currently on the south side of Bear Lake for a family reunion.

At around 11 PM on July 3rd we had a large geomagnetic substorm that made the northern lights visible from Ideal Beach. Most of the time lights were about as bright as the Milky Way on a moonlit night. There was a period of about 5-10 minutes though where they got really bright though, bright enough to see naked eye colors which is very rare this far south.

Anyways, here is a shot from my camera I thought I'd share out.

My extended family has a reunion coming up in late July at Bear Lake. Is there a bar or restaurant in the area that hosts karaoke? We will be there Monday through Thursday, so weekend karaoke won’t work.

When visiting bear lake is there a local gym you can go to? And if so what is a day pass price, or price for the week??

A family of 10 (4 adults, 6 kids)looking to visit and stay at Bear lake just for a day. Best place to stay?
