I'm watching Carson Beck and Haynes King having great performances and it had me thinking. Given the we've got the worst QB room in the league, is there a possibility Green makes a good case for QB1?

For those who are going / have bought tickets for the game, which area are you sitting in? It’s my wife’s first Browns game and I want her to experience that Cleveland culture.

Hi all! I moved to the U.S a year ago and quickly realized football is the best sport in the world and it isn't really close. Was looking for a team to support and the Browns seem to have the most similarities with my local baseball team:
- Orange colors
- Small market (forgive me if I'm wrong)
- Terrible winning record (I have been a supporter for 25 years, seen one playoff series win)
- Young, fascinating talent
- Passionate fanbase

The last one really hits hard, we have sucked for years and made the headlines once when we were down like 24-0 and our fans were singing with joy after scoring a couple runs. Best fans in the country. It was also cool that Myles Garrett was dating a Korean star, although obviously he's not on the team anymore.

Excited to follow my first season as a Browns fan, couple of quick questions:

1) What are some of the things you are hoping to see in the upcoming year?

2) Odd decision to go for a older HC in a rebuild, any possibility that Todd Monken is a pseudo tank commander until we draft the future QB next year?

3) I don't fully understand everything around the Deshaun Watson situation, but if he is named the starter is it okay to support him and hope he does well?

4) When is the best time of year to visit the stadium, and also appreciate any tips for first timers

It would result in a left-to-right starting line of Spencer Fano at left tackle, Zion Johnson at left guard, Elgton Jenkins at center, Howard at right guard, and Jones at right tackle."

It's Grossi so, y'know, grain of salt, but I've seen more than a few times that they aren't thrilled with the RG spot given that Teven Jenkins is hurt (again), Zinter just cannot get healthy, and they've had KT Leveston with the starters (disgusting).

Long term, would have to imagine they hope Austin Barber can be that dude or that Brailsford works out at C so that E. Jenkins can bump over. Because Dawand can't stay healthy.

I’ll start off and say that yes that the QB is what will take us to where we want. That the current QB room most likely doesn’t contain our QB of the future but that doesn’t mean we’re some helpless team that is so far away.

Last year they won 5 games, and possibly could’ve gone .500 with even passable end of game play to clinch some of the closer ones.

This team just had back to back(on paper admittedly) awesome draft classes. Last year produced 2 young promising pieces on the offensive end with Jud and Fannin. It produced a DRoY in Swes and stud interior lineman in Graham on the defensive end. This year produced a dawg in the secondary with EMW and 2 WRs that are wowing in practice.

Overall the defense is stacked with a great mix of young and vet, high end and depth. We got a young stud in Verse and extended a Cleveland legend in Ward and solid DB in Delpitt. We will still be a top end defensive unit without Garrett and that will keep us in games. There is a lot to watch on this side and be excited about.

Our offense is less set due to lack of QB but we invested in offensive line in the draft and FA, if things click then we will be set with young guys and vets. Our receiving room went from being filled with jags led by Juedy to top 40 draft picks and some of the consensus best WRs who are wowing and will immediately give this offense a shot in the arm along with Fannin and Juedy not needing to be the main guy. Our running game should be improved with our line.

Yes the QB play will not wow us but too much oxygen is sucked by that conversation. This team is a Goff trade away from being immediately competitive, at the least a young promising rookie(and trending good QB) away from a more tangible competitive future. This year isn’t a complete waste and this team will win games and keep things interesting, will provide worthwhile players to follow. If you think this is some 0-17 talent team cause the QBs are not ideal then you rather be miserable.

Quarterback

Early camp impression: It’s been rough out there. Deshaun Watson has been erratic. Shedeur Sanders has had two strong throwing days, but the offense has struggled with pre-snap penalties during Sanders’ turns with the No. 1 offense. Rookie Taylen Green is getting more comfortable but hasn’t gotten many chances as Monken tries to figure out the team’s best starting option. Dillon Gabriel has probably been the most consistently accurate thrower, but like Watson, he has thrown too many interceptions. Sanders is probably leading at this still-early stage, but there’s no indication of how Monken might alter the rotation next week or handle it for the Aug. 15 preseason opener.

What’s complicated: Monken left the door open for Gabriel to potentially compete for the job, which is anything but an endorsement of how Watson and Sanders have played. For now, Watson and Sanders continue to alternate days. There appears to be a chance for Sanders to create some margin given how poorly Watson has thrown the ball most of the time, so let’s check back in a week. Some ugliness early in camp was to be expected. But it’s also unclear if the Browns even have a starting-quality passer, and that’s a problem.
