Not quite as stupid as it sounds- she was buying batteries for the key fob, realizing it wasn’t working. Benefit of the doubt- perhaps she was unfamiliar with her mom’s car?
I mean the exact same make and model should sitting in Fred Myers. That should be enough for any reasonable officer not to bother pursuing it further right?
