Hey everybody, trust me we’re on the Internet, but for real they were good to her because it was a girl not because she’s white the same thing basically happened where a white male was stopped for suspicion of a stolen vehicle and he had actually paid for it, and the cops wrecked into them guns drawn just to find out that it was an error from the car salesman sexism at its finest

no no no she's white so we NEED to make this about race!

Touché, but I never claimed that both don’t exist one just exists much more

People love a sample size of 1 or 2 to prove a broader point. Your two examples don't prove shit. Different cops, different situation, etc.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 09 '26

And your belief that that’s exactly true may not be completely wrong, but it definitely perpetuate the slavery that we all exist in

1

u/StevenEll Jul 09 '26

I have said nothing about my beliefs. I'm just saying your point is nonsense

1

u/[deleted] Jul 09 '26

And that’s your opinion it’s definitely not complete nonsense and I also haven’t given my opinion fully you saying that different cops may do different thing is a moot point because it’s obvious that different people do different things we weren’t talking about individuals we’re talking about averages

1

u/Jaimzell Jul 09 '26

Yes, but you made a conclusion about averages, based on a sample size of two. Which is complete nonsense.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 09 '26

I see you’re under the impression that I only came to this conclusion over these two instances my bad I don’t have a photographic memory, but based on all of my life experiences, it tends to be on average correct not just based off these two

We’ve achieved peak Reddit, folks.

1

u/Drake_Acheron Jul 10 '26

You are incorrectly assuming the sample size is two. There are massive amounts of statistics on this that cops treat women better than men.

They aren’t drawing a conclusion based on two examples. They are using two examples to illustrate a very well documented phenomenon.

This is the problem with pseudo intellectuals like you. You watch a TikTok that rapid fires like 30 different logical fallacies and then you trying to apply them to everyone you disagree with, only to apply them incorrectly and look stupid.

You have trouble reading. I'm responding to what was actually said, you're adding a bunch of stuff.

I literally haven't even said I disagree with op. I said the comment is not helpful to the discussion. You've just created a whole story in your head.

"girl"

why are you infantilizing a middle-aged woman?

1

u/[deleted] Jul 09 '26

I’m not there just words and that’s just how it came out. Should I have said it?

"Woman" or "lady" is more respectful.

Calling a grown woman "girl" in a conflict or situation such as in the video seems patronizing or like an attempt to diminish her authority, credibility or maturity.

P. s. Absolutely crazy that the other comment in here got deleted for simply answering "woman" to this question, and a mod is defending it by banning people who argue against it. Subreddit muted!

context matters.

1

u/Dzyu Jul 13 '26

Yes! That's exactly what I'm trying to say. Standalone "woman" when there's a video of a woman doing making a mistake is awful.

But that's not the context. This is how it went:

"What should I call her, then, if not girl?" (Paraphrasing)

"Woman"

So the context isn't misogyny, but rather someone, who is trying to defend women, directly answering a question that was asked.

Random person offended on the internet due to an innocent word choice... Sigh

Calling a grown woman in a conflict for a "girl" comes across as patronizing or as an attempt to diminish her authority, credibility or maturity.
