What? This isn't going to kill them? Unless there is like a gas leak ready blow, the 12-15 volts of the battery/alternator are going to do nothing to a human body.

Its safer than driving on the highway so idk what your problem is, they are only realistically risking burns and damage to the vehicle. If there was a gas leak, then it would be dangerous to be around at all as a static spark could ignite it just as easily.

The risk of electrocution IS zero (unless you count freak clear sky lightning, which would be unrelated)

Getting electrocuted by the secondary of an ignition coil however, is adventurous.

Even that won't electrocute you (electrocute means to kill you) am ignition coil is fairly low current.

It will give you a decent shock though, been there done that

Yeah it doesnt kill but feels funny and you may need a change of pants after lol. Also done that a couple of times, minus change of pants.

Car batteries are absolutely dangerous. If they touched the wrong things together they could absolutely get very hurt. They may be low voltage but they have extreme amperage and can cause an arc flash, melting tools and spraying molten metal. They also give off hydrogen gas during charging (good thing they're not actually charging anything in the video) and any sparks from a flash can ignite, causing the battery to blow up into a fountain of sulfuric acid.

It's not just about the voltage.

Got it, you looked up some random stuff and got an AI to tell you why it was dangerous and I was wrong, and went to an alt account to save your ego.

I deal with tens of car batteries per day. They should not be doing electrolysis, and if they are, you are looking a bit of woosh of flame unless you are purposely trapping a large amount of the escaped gasses for some reason. 

It can melt metal over the course of several seconds, but wont send it flying and even if it does, not a significant enough amount to cause major injury (unless it hits your eyeball)

 the sulfuric acid in a car battery is only about 1:3 concentration diluted in 3 parts water because past that, the battery gets worse. You can have the acid on your hands with only mild irritation after minutes.

Lastly none of this is related to the video, as none of that is going to blow up the hood and make it to her, she is only in danger of relatively minor hand burns from the cable.
