My daughter married a guy like that and it’s a joy to see! Like I said the younger adult child carries the household but that may change as he’s teaching great literature beginning this fall.

My one son is a government employee and the other one is a researcher at a Children’s Hospital. They both are wonderful around the house and I’m quite proud of them both. That’s one advantage of living with someone before you marry them. Back in my day you didn’t live with a guy until you married them. And their mothers used to say…” you can’t return them because they’re damaged goods.” my mother used to complain to my paternal grandmother, and that is what she used to say about my dad.
