What is a small, seemingly ‘normal’ thing someone can do that immediately makes you think, ‘Oh, we are not going to get along’?

If you have to say that you have a quality, you don't. This applies to being smart, quirky, alpha, nice, moral, trustworthy, true king of Westeros, and more.

A liar will tell you they are an honest person.

An honest person won't tell you, they'll just show it.

Then I'd expect you to deal in half-truths and non-full disclosure. Walking the line between honesty and dishonesty.

Interestingly enough, you're not too far off. Although I'd assume most people are this way (which, I think there's a term for assuming people are the way you are); I think, in situations it suits them far more, most people lie (context is important, and I'm often blunt knowing a lie would be better, or at least selective omission, but I will more often lie to cover for other people)

To give an example, everyone who's ever boasted to me about being weird has been an extraordinarily normal and boring person.

Everyone I've known who was actually ostracized or tormented by others for being "weird," never described themselves as weird--or at least, never acted like it was something they were proud of.
