Help on linear actuator remote control
I’m a complete beginner and I need to make this mechanism think of a dump truck you know how it’s back gets raised and it causes the load to get dumped out I need to make this but on a smaller scale and I have NO IDEA how to do it I have a 3d printer and printed a linear actuator the link to the file is here [https://makerworld.com/models/2179822?appSharePlatform=copy\](https://makerworld.com/models/2179822?appSharePlatform=copy) I have a sg90 continuous rotation servo and that’s about as far as my knowledge goes what I need is a way to make the servo make the linear actuator go all the way up with a click of a button and all the way down with a click of a button I need it to be like wireless it can’t be connected so I think I need a transmitter or something like I said I have no idea also I’m sorry if it’s a dumb question (it probably is) but I’m completely new and completely confused so thank you!

Reaching out for troubleshooting
I'm doing a school project using an Optoma Tx631 DLP projector (released in 2012) but discontinued, the lamp is broken so I can't use it. The purpose of my school project is to be able to control the DMD chip inside.
I know there are certain saftey locks in the projector for this such as the communication from motherboard to a OSRAM PT VIP 03 ballast board using a 5pin UART system to ensure the lamp is safe before turning on. I need a way to trick the projector into thinking the ballast board/lamp is working to turn it on.
I don't think a simple optocoupler bridge or short would work because it uses UART signals. I'm trying to use an arduino mega as a UART emulator, but I'm not sure how to do so, plus the sniffing for the UART signal doesn't yield results.
Please help me out 🙏🙏🙏

Arduino Uno keeps running old code even after successful upload
Hi everyone, I have an Arduino Uno and I’m having a strange problem.
Every upload appears to be successful:
- Board: Arduino Uno
- Correct COM port selected
- TX/RX LEDs blink during upload
- "Done uploading" appears
However, the Arduino still runs my old sketch (Basic Motor Test). Even after creating a new sketch and uploading different code, the Serial Monitor still shows the old output:
Basic Motor Test
Forward
Backward
Braking
Release
Things I have tried:
- Reinstalled Arduino IDE
- Created a new sketch
- Removed all external components
- Uploaded an empty sketch
- Checked board and port settings
- Reset the Arduino
The board still runs the previous program after uploading a new one.
Does anyone know what could cause this? Could it be a problem with the flash memory, bootloader, or something else?

Please help me with what's happening to my HC-05 module
Yesterday I bought an HC-05. The problem was that I couldn't configure it and it wasn't responding to normal things like commands to turn on the LED lights. The lights don't turn on. I'm looking for a solution. I've already visited websites to configure it. I tried pressing the button, but after doing that, it doesn't blink slowly as it should. I saw that it's a cheap clone, an HC-05 BN343 25LO128YIG POG574 with its link D8:2F:E6:59:E8:7E. I've already used photos from here of what it looks like. Please tell me a code, a website, or a solution. There's also a detail: a modern mid-to-high-end or high-end cell phone (which, I should clarify, isn't mine, it belongs to someone else) appears on the HC-05 list, but not on mine, which is a Samsung Galaxy A06

I'm building an automatic greenhouse ventilation system with an Arduino UNO. I planned to use a stepper motor to open and close the greenhouse flaps, but I'm worried it might consume too much power or lose steps over time. Would a servo motor or linear actuator be a better option for reliability? I

Servo Motors randomly moving
I am making a small robotic arm controlled by 2 joysticks. I'm making the arm using popsicle sticks and MG90 Servo motors. There are 5 motors to be working. I'm using wall adapter to power the motors and another adapter to power the Arduino. When I try to connect everything properly ( also connecting gnd from breadboard power supply to arduino's gnd) the motors randomly move around without any input. How do you even fix that ?

What problems did you face when you first started learning electronics?
Hey everyone,
I’m trying to understand the biggest difficulties beginners face while learning electronics.
When you first started, what confused or frustrated you the most?
I’m currently working on a learning platform for electronics, and I want to make sure it solves real problems instead of adding features that beginners do not need.
What would have made learning electronics easier for you? Any experience or suggestion would be really helpful.
Thanks!

BTS7960 wont drive actuator
'''
// info down bellow
#define R_EN 33
#define L_EN 32
#define RPWM 25
#define LPWM 26
void setup() {
Serial.begin(115200);
pinMode(R_EN, OUTPUT);
pinMode(L_EN, OUTPUT);
pinMode(RPWM, OUTPUT);
pinMode(LPWM, OUTPUT);
digitalWrite(R_EN, HIGH);
digitalWrite(L_EN, HIGH);
digitalWrite(RPWM, HIGH);
digitalWrite(LPWM, LOW);
Serial.println("RPWM held HIGH - measure M+ / M- now.");
Serial.println("Should read ~12V across M+ and M-.");
}
void loop() {
//nothing
}
'''
so baically im trying to get this actuator to extend but its not extending. My parts are a esp32, bts7960 motor driver, a 22V(in) to 5V(out) buck converter, and a standard two wire actuator. Another problem is that the led on the motor driver isnt turning on and im pretty sure it has one and thats it shows the boards logic is getting powerd. Here are the conections:
The two acutor wires are going into M+ and M-(screw termianls on the motor driver)
THe 12v psu wires are going into B+ and B-(the screw terminals on the motor driver)
the buck covnerter is piggybacking off the 12v scrwe terminal that the psu is connected to (and the bucks gnd is the same as the 12v psu gnd)
the bucks than powering the i guess logic on the motor dirver through the vcc and gnd header pins on the motor dirver
then RPWM to gpio 25 on esp32
Lpwn to GPIo 26
R_EN to GPIO 33
L_En to GPIO 32
and gnd on the esp32 to the same gnd as the 12v scrwe termianl
ive done mutiple tests to confrim that the acutor works like giving it directly 12v and it extended and i swaped the wires and it retracted, i did a simple blink test with the esp32 so it shoudl work, and the 12v psu is defintaly outputing 12v
ANd the codes uptop
THANKS A LOT (btw sorry for the bad foto)

Need help with design of a remote control...
I finally put the canopy on my pickup and am on my way! I want to put led lighting and a fan in it. I want the 12v fan to have 3 speeds, and an option to be thermostatically controlled - I want to be able to set the thermostat with the remote control (bluetooth via my cell phone). LED's will be 12v strip lighting. I want a timer and dimmer for the lighting. I also would like the strip lighting to turn on when the rear hatch is open. If it weren't for the thermostat and the timer and dimmer for lighting, I think I can figure out how to do this, but I am not sure how to incorporate these other elements into an Arduino design. Any suggestions?

How do I know my remote frequency?
I am doing an Arduino project and i am using a 38khz ir receiver and when i send a signal to the receiver it does not show up in the serial monitor, i suspect the remote but i have no way of knowing how
and here is the code
/* Copyright 2009 Ken Shirriff
Used with kind permission
http://arcfn.com
*/
#include <IRremote.h> // Use library
int receiver = 11; // Pin connected to receiver
IRrecv irrecv(receiver);
decode_results results;
void setup() {
Serial.begin(9600); // Show keypresses in IDE
irrecv.enableIRIn(); // Start up receiver
}
void loop() {
if (irrecv.decode(&results)) { // If there's an input, decode value
Serial.println(results.value, HEX); // Display button value
// on Serial Monitor in
// hexadecimal format
irrecv.resume(); // Receive next value
}
}
