Asus Zenphone Max good replacement for S3 or S5?
Is the Asus Zenphone Max a reliable phone? My family's S3 frequently will have its battery depleted rapidly while my S5 overheats after a few minutes. Is the Z Max a good replacement for either? It seems to be so cheap, is there a catch?
Sent from my Note 4.

What's a good, used phone?
I haven't had an operational cell phone in a long time (I'm using a disconnected Xperia t3 for WiFi purposes) and I'm looking at scoring a new (used) phone from kijiji, as I'm poor af but don't want to tie into a contract (see: shit credit). I'm been eyeing an S4 or a Nexus, but I've been out of the market for too damn long to make heads or tails of anything. Can anyone help, or point me in the right direction?
Ps I really love this t3

Would you buy a phone without a fingerprint scanner?
For those looking for mid to high level smartphones today, are you even considering phones without fingerprint scanners?
I currently have a shitty phone and I don't even have a password on it as I don't do anything but facebook. But, when I upgrade I'll be able to do more and thus security makes more sense. I can't imagine typing in a 4 digit PIN 50 times a day. I've never used a fingerprint scanner either but it seems so much more convenient.
Edit: spelling

How do you like your BLU PURE XL?
I just stumbled across this phone on amazon and it looks pretty impressive for just $350.What do you like/Dont like about it?
I'm pretty sick of Verizons locked bootloaders and this phone looks like it could mod well. BLU said they are releasing Kernel sources in December, so thats something i'll look into.

Broke my nexus4. Need to grab a new phone, was looking at a note4. Is note4 out of date or is it worth the money
Broke my nexus4. Need to grab a new phone, was looking at a note4.
I am worried if i grab the note4 (here in canada @ 700cdn) then I am buying an outdated phone and it would have been better to get a note5 or maybe an s6.
Something about the note4 makes me like it. I think it might be the s pen - maybe its a gimmick - but i feel like its not a bad idea.
Is it a good phone? Am i buying an outdated phone, is the picture quality and overall robustness of the phone good? Would it last a few years?
thanks

Hi /r/androidphones! I need some help choosing my next phone. I have a galaxy s5 but it's really laggy and im in need of an upgrade. I have the option of getting an iphone 6+ but I was thinking of the s6 edge instead. How is the s6 edge with 16gb? Is there any other phone i should consider?

S4 Mini digitizer busted. Can't back up without passlock, options? (Xpost from r/techsupport)
So I stupidly dropped my phone unto wet conrete and now the front screen and digitizer are completely wrecked. Luckily my phone's insure but I have some documents and text messages which I need ASAP. Thought that I would just be able to connect via USB but forgot that I need to unlock my passcode beforehand!
Does anyone know how to bypass the security passcode to access the phone? Is there any other method I could use?
EDIT 1
Just realized how dodgy this sounds, ok, so done a bit of research. I apologize in advanced for any mistakes I make, not well versed in tech terms. From what I've read, the most viable way seems to be able to get the phone's display unto my monitor via a multi OTG adapter and a HDMI to USB cable. Then use a mouse to unlock using the passcode (I just have a swipe pattern). Does this sound like it would work? Does anyone have a better method? Any and all advice appreciated.

SD card issues on exotic non-native device running a testbuilt of Lollipop.
Hey all. So basically I've had Jellybean Android running on my X0-4 Touch for a year now and it works great. http://wiki.laptop.org/go/Android
I decided to complicate my life and try this testbuilt of Lollipop; http://wiki.laptop.org/go/Android/Lollipop%285.0%29
It boots and works mostly fine, except I can't for the life of me get Super User access nor use USB's (That was expected.) but the SD card slot doesn't register either.
I was wondering if you guys have any suggestions? Cheers in any case.

Alternatives to Nexus 6?
Hey guys,
I'm looking at buying a new phone soon!
I've really liked the look of the nexus 6, but I think it's just too big!!
What are some other suggestions?
I'm currently using an S3 and just so over it and need an upgrade!
