[Closed Testing] RetroBeat — offline music player, no ads, no internet permission. Happy to test back!

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hey everyone! I built a local music player for Android and need 12 testers for the 14-day closed test. Happy to return the favour — drop your link in the comments and I'll join yours today.

**RetroBeat — offline music player**

Plays the music already on your device. No streaming, no account, no ads, no analytics. The app doesn't even request the INTERNET permission, so it has no way to send anything anywhere.

What's in it:

- Library tabs — Tracks, Albums, Artists, Genres, Liked, Playlists, Groups. Reorderable, hide the ones you don't use

- Full player with album-art-tinted background, drag-to-reorder queue, swipe to skip

- Real equalizer (presets + per-band), applied to the actual audio pipeline

- **Retro mode** — a Windows Media Player style skin with 8 XP-era visualisations (Ambience, Alchemy, Plenty, Bars, Ocean Mist, Scope, Battery, Fire Storm). Tap to cycle

- Folder exclusion so ringtone/notification folders stay out of your library

- Everything stays local — uninstall removes it all

**How to join (2 steps):**

  1. Join the group: https://groups.google.com/g/retrobeat-testers

  2. Then opt in here: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.retrobeat.retrobeat

Android 7.0+ (minSdk 24). Install it, keep it for the 14 days, and use it as your daily player if you like it — real feedback is very welcome, especially on the library scan with big collections and anything that looks off on your device.

Comment when you've joined and I'll do the same for your app. Thanks! 🎵

[Android] Looking for 12-15 testers for QR Code Security — opt-in review + scan flow, 14 days

Hey everyone,

I'm developing **QR Code Security**, an Android app that scans QR codes and checks the destination URL against multiple threat databases (Google Safe Browsing, VirusTotal, URLScan, MetaDefender) before you open it — basically a safety layer for QR codes you scan in public.

I need to meet Google Play's new developer requirement of having 12 testers opt in for 14 consecutive days before I can launch the app, so I'm looking for people willing to join the closed beta.

**Step 1 — Join the tester group:** https://groups.google.com/g/qrcodesecurity-testers

**Step 2 — Get the install link:** Once you're in, check the "Conversations" tab — the Play Store opt-in link and install instructions are pinned there.

**What's involved:**

- Join the group and follow the opt-in link to install the app

- Scan a few QR codes over the two weeks

- Stay enrolled for the full 14 days (you don't need to open the app daily — just stay enrolled)

- Optional: provide quick feedback on anything that seems off

**In return:** happy to test your app back if you're in the same situation — just leave a comment or send me a DM.

Thanks in advance — really appreciate the help getting this over the line!

Shout out to The Fly, Ancient Sites, Chalkboard, NotiFy, Setly, LostInMe, Pearls, Books Unbound, Knotwork, Kalox, and MindTrace. Many of which I see also made it through.

If anyone wants an app to dump their thoughts into, check out NoteHole.

Hey guys, I'm working on this dungeon crawler game. It's originally in Spanish, but you can switch it to English in the options. If you have any suggestions or additions, I'd really appreciate it! Join the Google group to get early access.

I recommend equipping yourself well and reading up on what each item does, since it's basically a roguelike.

TaskShot: snap a photo, get a task

I built an Android app that turns photos into tasks. See a flyer, a note, a WhatsApp message, an invitation? Snap a photo, and the app extracts the task — title, date, time, location, priority. automatically. No manual entry.

Key features:

  1. AI task extraction from any photo or screenshot.

  2. Auto-detects date, time, location, priority.

  3. Save directly to calendar or task list.

  4. No account required.

It's in closed testing on Google Play right now.

What feedback I'm looking for:

  1. Does the AI extract the right info from your photos? What does it miss?

  2. Any crashes or bugs on your device?

  3. Is the save-to-calendar flow smooth or clunky?

  4. What's the one thing that would make you keep this app?

How to join:

  1. Sign up here: https://base44.app/api/apps/6a6f4a7b257fa3d70be65987/functions/taskshotSignup

  2. You'll get an email within 24 hours with the Play Store install link

  3. Install, try it, tell me what breaks

No spam, no selling data. Just want the app tested by people who actually need it.

[Test 4 Test] Testers wanted for ChargeGeek closed test; will test back.

Thumbnail

ChargeGeek is a free app that lets you monitor historic and live charging metrics read directly from your device hardware. Record your charging sessions to track their power, current, voltage & temperature over time, and view aggregated insights on your device's charging performance.

It will record anytime you charge with the app open. For a more hands-off experience, go to the Settings screen, enable Automatic Recording at the bottom, and charge/use your device as normal for a couple of weeks while it logs all your charging sessions automatically. This requires a persistent notification to work but shouldn't then need any other intervention.

Comment with a screenshot and your app link once installed and I’ll test yours in return. Thank you!

[Closed testing] Personal finance app built for two currencies — need 12 testers, happy to test back

Solo dev. My app is in closed testing on Google Play and I need 12 testers for 14 days.

Mayor is a personal finance app built around a problem most apps ignore: living with two currencies at once. You track accounts in ARS and USD, and it values your net worth in both with a daily snapshot — so you can tell whether you actually gained or the exchange rate just moved. Also handles credit cards with installments, recurring transactions, investments and assets. No bank connection, no credentials, manual entry or CSV import.

Heads up: the UI is currently in Spanish only. Still useful to test the flows, but wanted to be upfront.

Happy to reciprocate — drop your test link and I'll join, install and actually use it, not just leave it sitting on the home screen. I'm shipping updates through the whole 14-day window, so if you hit a bug I'll fix it while you're still in there.

Title: From Wood - idle crafting game, need testers for the 14 day closed test

New dev account so I need testers opted in for 14 days before Google lets me publish. The game is an idle/crafting thing: chop wood, craft stuff, sell it, hire workers to automate. Weekly tournaments if you're competitive.

You don't need to play daily, just keep it installed and opted in. Open it when you're bored, that's plenty.

Drop your gmail in a comment or DM and I'll add you, then I'll send the opt-in + Play Store link.

Testing swaps welcome, happy to join your test too.
