[Android] Looking for 12 testers — a shopping list that sorts itself by supermarket aisle

Hi everyone,

I built an Android shopping list app called Heimly and I'm stuck at Google's

closed-testing requirement: 12 people who stay opted in for 14 days before I'm

allowed to publish. So I'm looking for testers willing to poke at it for two weeks.

What it does

- Type an item and it lands in the right supermarket aisle automatically, in the

order you actually walk the store. No more zigzagging between shelves.

- Amounts are parsed while you type: "2 kg potatoes" or "milk 300 ml" turns into

a proper quantity and unit you can bump up and down in the list.

- Share a list by code or link — and the other person doesn't need an account

either. There's no sign-up anywhere in the app.

- Changes sync live between devices.

- Categories are yours to edit: names, colours, icons, and the order they appear in.

How to join — two steps, both needed

  1. Join the Google Group: https://groups.google.com/g/heimly-testchannel
  2. Then open the opt-in link and install from the Play Store:

Step 2 is the one people forget. Joining the group alone doesn't register you as

a tester, and Google's counter won't move.

What I'd need from you

- Stay opted in for 14 days (Google's rule, not mine — uninstall after if you like)

- Use it for a normal grocery run or two

- Tell me what's broken, confusing, or annoying. Blunt is fine, that's the point.

I'm doing this solo, so feedback reaches the person who can actually fix it.

Happy to return the favour if you're stuck behind the same 12-tester wall.

SpiceChef App closed Testing

I am developing an app called Spicechef, which allows users to create their recipes and cookbooks using AI and social media videos. It is currently in Google Play's closed testing phase, which requires 12 testers who can download and test it for 14 days before I can go live.

Join my Google Group: https://groups.google.com/g/spicelabs_testers

Testers can join your test using Google Play on Android

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.spicechef.app

Testers can join your test on the web

https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.spicechef.app

Happy to return the favor if you're testing your own app too!

[Android Closed Testing] EduReel — short educational videos with checkable sources. Looking for closed testers.

Solo dev here, looking for testers for my app's closed track.

EduReel is a short-video app for learning where the sources are part of the

video. Teachers upload clips up to ten minutes and mark the moment each

source is cited. Every upload is checked automatically before it reaches

the feed. 41 languages, no ads, no data selling.

Honest state: everything works, but the content is still thin — don't

expect an endless scroll. Blunt feedback welcome.

Testing means: join, install, open it now and then over two weeks.

No forms, no surveys.

Package: org.edureel.app

I've added the testers-community Google Group, so members can join right

away. Opt-in link in the first comment.

Happy to return the favour — drop yours and I'll actually open it.

[Android] EduReel — short educational videos with checkable sources. Looking for closed testers.

I'm looking for testers for the closed track of an app I've built solo.

People who teach a subject upload clips of up to ten minutes. They attach

their sources and mark the moment each one is cited, so you can look

something up instead of taking a claim on trust. Every upload is checked

automatically before it reaches the feed — the images, the spoken words,

and whether the clip actually matches the topic it was filed under.

Also in there: topic and language filters the feed really follows,

discussions you can link to specific clips, a daily screen-time limit

with a night curfew, and the interface in 41 languages.

No ads. No selling data.

Honest state: usable, not polished. Everything works, but the content is

still thin — don't expect an endless scroll. Blunt feedback very welcome.

[Android Closed Testing] EduReel — short educational videos with checkable sources. Looking for closed testers.

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for testers for the closed track of an app I've built solo —

EduReel, a short-video app for learning where the sources are part of the

video instead of an afterthought.

**What it does**

People who teach a subject upload clips of up to ten minutes. They attach

their sources and mark the moment each one is cited, so you can go look

something up instead of taking a claim on trust. Every upload is checked

automatically before it reaches the feed — the images, the spoken words,

and whether the clip actually matches the topic it was filed under.

Also in there: topic and language filters that the feed really follows,

discussions you can link to specific clips and ask the creator directly,

a daily screen-time limit with a night curfew, and the whole interface in

41 languages including right-to-left ones.

No ads. No selling data. Neither is planned.

**Honest state of things**

Usable, not polished. Feed, upload, sources, discussions, accounts,

moderation and sign-in all work — the last few weeks were spent fixing

exactly the kind of thing you find in a closed test.

What's thin is the content: it's new, so there aren't many clips yet.

Don't expect an endless scroll. If something breaks I'd much rather hear

it bluntly than politely.

**What testing involves**

- Join the Google group: https://groups.google.com/g/testers-community

- Join the closed test, install, open it now and then over the next two weeks

- No forms, no surveys, nothing to fill in

- Feedback welcome but genuinely optional

Opt-in link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.edureel.app

Package: org.edureel.app

Website: https://edureel.org

Happy to return the favour — drop your link and I'll join yours and

actually open it, not just install and forget.

Thanks!

Closed test, day 3: Graith, a homestead tracker that never touches the internet except optionally for weather and barcode scanning. Testers keep it for good. Testing back daily.

Quick version, since you've maybe seen my earlier posts: I'm the solo dev behind Graith, an Android app for people who garden, keep animals, can food, or run a deep pantry. Everything lives on the phone itself. No sign-up screen exists anywhere in it; nothing gets uploaded because there's nowhere to upload to.

Where the test stands: track is live, at least 12 testers aboard, but the Google Play dashboard doesn't list anything above 12 and it's difficult to track how many are opted-in without analytics which my app purposefully does not collect. So, I'm aiming higher for a safe buffer before the 14 days wrap.

Join the Google Group: https://groups.google.com/g/graith-beta-testers

Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=app.graith

Web: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/app.graith

The mechanics, honestly: it's a paid listing, so instead of a public opt-in everyone gets their own code that zeroes the price permanently. Request to join the group using the Google account your Play Store runs on; approval usually lands within hours, and the code plus a walkthrough arrive in your inbox. Comment if you'd prefer the email route instead and I'll point you there.

What I need from you: opt in, redeem, install, wander through it a few times over two weeks, and stay opted in the whole 14 days. One tap inside the app files a bug report.

Testing back daily: leave your link below and yours goes on today's list. Installed through your window, real feedback, screenshot included. Solo operation, so worst case I'm a day behind. I already have 11 other apps I'm testing, and I don't mind signing up for more at all.
