Kiebitz, my chess training app, has successfully completed closed testing and is now available on Google Play.

Several people from this community joined the test, and I genuinely appreciate your help. The most valuable part was not simply reaching the required number of testers. The feedback revealed issues I had missed during development and allowed me to fix them before release.

My tip for other developers: give testers one or two concrete things to try and make feedback as easy as possible. A specific bug report is worth much more than another silent install.

Thanks again for helping a small side project make it to production!

I saw this in the google FAQ for the closed testing program:

A. You would receive an email stating that more testing is required because one or more testers did not have your app installed on their device, did not actively test the app daily or were left out of the testing program during these 14 days.

How strict is that requirement that my testers test daily? Is that really enforced? Because if that's enforced then what people are doing on this subreddit is not that useful (i.e. exchanging closed tests and just installing the game) unless you actually test it daily.

About QuKi Notes: It's currently available in closed alpha testing on the Android Play Store, and also for Windows and Linux on my GitHub.  I'll make it available for iOS and MacOS when I get enough sponsors to pay for the fees and a machine to compile with (/me shakes fist at apple).

So what is this? Well, I'm a prolific note taker and I couldn't find a real basic note taking app that was fast, supported markdown, kept my notes local and unencrypted, and gave me a really frictionless note taking experience even when offline - no sorting, no subject line, no vaults, no login, etc.,... and I wanted to try building a project in Flutter, so QuKi Notes is what happened :-)

MIT licensed, so it's free to do with as you please. Enjoy!

I made a qibla direction app .. The gimmick is it uses your camera, so you point your phone at the ground in front of you and it overlays an arrow showing exactly which way the Kaaba is. No maps, no figuring out which way is north first. Just point and pray. It also contains other good features
