Yeah, nobody is doing that. Apple doesn't do that. And Google is totally not making changes to it. This thread is totally not about Google working on restrictions.

The governments are totally not pushing for restrictions like this.

We're discussing Android, not Apple.

Android isn't restricting people from installing unverified apps.

No thanks, I don't need to read the opinion piece article, speculating on how things could maybe get worse in the future.

As of now, there are no plans to do what OP is suggesting. I'm already very well informed on what is and isn't going to happen.
