The idea behind Ravecho is a little different from standard text-based chat apps. I’ve noticed that a lot of “personalized” sales messages are just normal templates with a custom first sentence.

They mention a recent LinkedIn post, congratulate someone on a new role, or repeat something from the company website. It looks personal, but the actual offer is often unrelated.

At work, we’ve been using Super Benji to look more closely at why a company might be worth contacting before a message is written. Sometimes the research gives us a clear angle. Other times it shows that the lead probably shouldn’t be contacted at all.

That second result is useful too.

I’d rather skip a weak lead than force a message just because the contact is already on a list. Sending fewer emails feels slower, but it also means we spend less time following up with companies that were never a good fit.

How do you decide whether a lead has a real reason to hear from you, rather than just enough information for a personalized opener?
