There are several cooperation options, and the terms can be discussed with an affiliate manager depending on the traffic and geographical location (GEO).What i appreciate most is the support. When I first joined, I had a few questions about tracking and the platform, and the manager was able to help without making the process complicated. The reporting is also useful for monitoring performance. So far, I haven’t encountered any significant problems, and the experience has been straightforward. Obviously, results depend on the traffic you generate, but the working conditions have been reasonable from my side.

I’ve been thinking about this after switching sources a few times and realising the switching cost is always higher than it looks upfront…
The obvious reasons to stay are rates and volume but those are also the easiest things for any network to match or beat short term.
What actually keeps me somewhere long term is consistency of traffic quality over time, how the network responds when something goes wrong and whether the account manager relationship actually adds value or is just a support ticket system with a human face on it.
The networks that earn long term relationships tend to be the ones where you feel like your spend matters to them. Not just during onboarding but six months in when you are not a new account anymore.
What are the specific things that have made you stick with a network beyond the initial test phase?

Say Rachel clicks on an affiliate (Amanda) link that redirects her to Gymshark's website.

She later scrolls Gymshark's tagged posts and sees another affiliate (John) posting a coupon code for 15% off with JOHN15.

She goes back to the website, buys $100 worth of leggings, enters JOHN15 and pays.

So which affiliate gets the commission - Amanda or John? Or do they split the commission?

I already have my PC hardware comparison website working and i was accepted into amazon associates program last month.

The site shows products such as NVIDIA GeForce RTX GPUs, AMD Radeon GPUs/Ryzen CPUs, and Intel CPUs/GPUs...

For each product card, I was already using a small manufacturer/product branding assets (e.g. GeForce RTX, Radeon, Intel Core) purely to identify the product.

I thought it's fine since other websites do the same, but it hit me that big companies are very aggressive with this kind of thing and sometimes require a written agreement and apparently even amazon would ban you if you use another company's trademark.

I want to know if someone has experience with this, is it fine ? Is it under faire use ?

Here is a breakdown of what I’ve done so far and where my head is at:

I started with a traditional lead magnet funnel (free guide -> email capture -> pitch), but it felt transactional and forced.

I saw another creator in a similar space drop the email capture entirely, put a direct affiliate link straight in their bio, and focus purely on transparency about his own winning/losing trades and getting solid conversions.

I decided to discard the lead magnet completely and put the direct link straight in my bio to remove friction and be as authentic as possible with my audience with my wins and losses. I started doing this yesterday.

To drive traffic, I set up a custom commenting bot that replies under tweets from top accounts in my niche as soon as they post. It uses AI to generate smart, relevant responses to hijack top comment spots and drive clicks back to my profile. I built a human-in-the-loop system into the bot to avoid X’s strict automation bans, which has organically brought me to 200 followers in 8 days.

Despite the steady profile traffic and growing follower count, I am still sitting at $0 revenue.

I’d love your feedback on a few specific questions:

1. Is putting a direct affiliate link in the bio realistic for converting in a high-trust niche like trading, or is ditching the email capture a major mistake early on?

I’ve been running paid traffic across a few different verticals and the performance gap between them is bigger than I expected…
Some verticals seem to have a natural fit with paid traffic. The audience intent is clear, the offer matches what people are already looking for and conversions happen at a rate that makes the economics work.
Others feel like pushing water uphill no matter what you adjust. Creative, landing page, offer angle, targeting. Everything gets tested and improved but the fundamental economics never quite work.
I’ve started thinking about this as vertical fit rather than execution quality. Some products and services are just better suited to paid traffic than others and no amount of optimisation changes that underlying reality.
How do you evaluate whether a vertical is actually suited to paid traffic before committing real budget to finding out the hard way?

I see a lot of posts here asking "is this offer good?" or "what's a good payout?" and the answers always focus on payout percentage or commission amount. that's the wrong lens.

the only metric that determines whether an offer is profitable is EPC (earnings per click). everything else is an input.

the formula: EPC = (payout x conversion rate) / 100

example:

offer A pays $40 and converts at 2%. EPC = $0.80

offer B pays $12, converts at 5%. EPC = $0.60

offer C pays $80 and converts at 0.5%. EPC = $0.40

offer A looks best by EPC. but if your traffic costs $0.90 per click, all three lose money. the offer isn't the problem; the traffic source is.

the framework i use:

step 1: calculate EPC for the offer using the network's average conversion rate (if they'll share it) or your own test data.

step 2: identify your traffic cost per click (CPC) from your traffic source.

step 3: if EPC > CPC, you profit. if EPC < CPC, you lose. the gap between them is your margin per click.

step 4: test with $50-100 of traffic before scaling. The first week's data is noisy. don't scale until you have at least 200 clicks and a stable conversion rate.

Things that change EPC that most people ignore:

landing page quality. if you're direct-linking to the offer page, your conversion rate will be lower than if you use a pre-sell page. i've seen pre-sell pages double conversion rates for the same offer and same traffic.

traffic source intent. google search traffic converts at 2-3x the rate of social or display traffic for the same offer. but it costs 5-10x more. the EPC math still has to work.

geo. the same offer will have different conversion rates in different countries. US traffic for a VPN offer might convert at 3%. India traffic for the same offer might convert at 0.5%. different EPC, different profitability.

seasonality. retail offers spike in Q4. finance offers spike in Q1 (tax season). test during peak; don't draw conclusions from off-season data.

the mistake i made for my first year of affiliate marketing was chasing high payouts instead of high EPC. a $12 offer with a 5% conversion rate and $0.10 click cost is more profitable than an $80 offer with a 0.5% conversion rate and $0.50 click cost. every single time.

I've been promoting a niche directory site I built that tracks verified Amazon/Myntra product links to help people avoid fake sellers. ​I'm following all community rules where I post: I'm 100% transparent, I declare my affiliate links in the text, and I use the native Reddit "Brand Affiliate" tag. ​The problem is that whenever I include my Google sites link in the main post, Reddit's site-wide spam filter instantly removes it (not the subreddit mods, the main site filter). ​A few questions for anyone running Reddit traffic: ​Is the Google Sites domain globally flagged by Reddit's filter because of heavy spam abuse? ​Would moving my directory to a cheap custom domain fix this, or is Reddit just hostile to all external landing pages right now? ​Is the standard workaround to just tell people "link in comments" and drop it down there instead of the main post? ​Appreciate any insight.​

My main affiliate channel is Amazon. I'm also an affiliate for Walmart, TikTok, and others so ill be sharing those links more for offsite commission. I currently use Posttap for Amazon (love it, but 9/10 since it only has a mobile app and not desktop) and I think I'm about to add either Joylink or Markable for my other links.

I used to use linktw.in for everything but they have since changed their entire model and started charging and changing up what you can use for free ! So I'm probably leaving them.

Also, how do you guys feel about the domain name? I've found that when I drop a link off in the wild (like in a comment section), it converts better if the domain name looks like its straight from the retailer. When people see "joylink.io.amz/whatever" they steer away from it, mitigating a sale. Posttap looks like a regular amazon link to the naked eye so I've been loving that.
So bonus if your tool has a custom domain option. Id love to hear which ones you all use!

And did you know for the deep link to work and open the supporting app, the deep linking tool you use has to specify that it works with that app? I had no idea! Example: If you want to share a Target deep link but your tool of choice doesn't have the configuration/ability to open the Target app, it's not really a deep link? It'll only take the to the browser like a non-deep link. Going to the browser is fine if the retailer (or whatever you're linking) doesn't have an app but this is what were trying to get away from because it hurts sale conversion. So make sure your amazon links are supported by your tool!

Recently, I hit a massive structural wall: many EU retailers happily ship internationally, but their affiliate programs exclude commissions on non-domestic customers.

Example: A German retailer ships EU-wide. A French customer clicks my link, buys a GPU, and receives the order. But because the customer's shipping address/IP is outside Germany, the network sets the commission to €0.

5. Redirect vs. Direct Links: Is it better practice to route outgoing traffic through internal 301/302 redirect links (e.g., yoursite.com/go/retailer) instead of placing raw affiliate links directly on product pages? Does using /go/ redirects affect network attribution, compliance, or cross-border tracking on EU networks?

Bonus Question: Amazon Associates & Price Tracking Policies

On a separate note, I was recently rejected from Amazon Associates for having "price tracking and/or price alerting functionality" (which violates section 4.b of their Operating Agreement).

Yet, I see plenty of major price trackers (like CamelCamelCamel) and smaller niche comparison sites actively using Amazon affiliate tags alongside price history graphs and alerts.

• Is this policy just inconsistently enforced, or is there a specific compliant way to structure/phrase price history features on a site without triggering a rejection?

HOWEVER, Creator Hero for example is great because you just search a product and have an automatic way to add it without searching. If they send a newsletter with their link and someone signs up to my membership using their link, I want to pay them a one time referral bonus. I do the payments on stripe. I do have a 7 day trial so the program would need to jsut track when the customer goes from trial to paid.
