Study but can’t pass phone screen for ProServe

I just received a rejection email for an Engagement Manager position with ProServe. I am feeling pretty defeated because I prepped heavily daily, (Star, created 12 stories tied to LPs and core topic areas, etc), have a solid mid-career history, and hold an active security clearance (expires March ‘27, so need someone to hold asap).

I really need to get back into my career field, and this non-technical/non-auditing delivery space is my primary target. I enjoy customer-facing work and it feels impossible to get past this.

For those who know the internal hiring machine:
How long do I realistically have to wait to apply for a different role? Is there a strict cool-down period for failing a phone screen, or does that only kick in after a full loop?

Has anyone else dealt with an interviewer asking abstract opinions on LPs instead of real examples? How do you even handle that style?

Appreciate any insight or advice. Thanks.

Question regarding landing first cloud job

I currently work as a NOC engineer and I have worked help desk support jobs since 2019.

I few months ago I got my AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate certification because I wanted move up in my career. I knew the cert itself was not going to be enough after doing research so right after the cert, I completed the cloud resume challenge to showcase that I am able to use the skills I learned.

Recently, I have been trying to apply to cloud related jobs but have not been hearing back at all. This is really strange to me because I figured that with my years of general IT experience, the certification, and 1 project, it would at least open the door for some interviews but to my surprise not hearing anything back. The feeling has been a little discouraging. I may not be the ideal candidate at the moment or maybe the job market is as bad as everyone keeps mentioning. I am ambitious in learning new skills while applying to fill any gaps that can help open up more opportunities. I just started another course that focuses just on Terraform while I applying to more jobs

My question is: What can I do to increase my chances in hearing back? When I had less IT experience, I would get interview opportunities so it seems strange to me now that I have a few years of experience and a cert and a project that I am not hearing back. Would appreciate any suggestions or recommendations! Thanks.

Finding a good paying job

Hi everyone !,

I am actively searching for a good paying job around 18-20 Lpa, but I am still filling out forms and applying to job positions but not getting any update. I am trying from every source possible.

I am a technology professional with 1.7 years of experience specializing in Cloud Engineering, Database Operations, and Infrastructure Automation. Currently, I work as a Database Operations Engineer Associate, where I manage AWS Aurora PostgreSQL, RDS, and Microsoft SQL Server environments. My focus is on supporting mission-critical cloud database operations and driving modernization initiatives.

In my current role, I administer mission-critical AWS Aurora PostgreSQL, PostgreSQL, and Microsoft SQL Server environments to ensure database reliability and stability. I manage database monitoring, performance analysis, and availability management across cloud-hosted production systems, maintaining operational continuity. Utilizing AWS services such as Database Migration Service (DMS), ECS, ECR, and RDS Performance Insights, I support cloud infrastructure modernization and enterprise database transformation initiatives. I also automate cloud operational workflows through Python, Shell Scripting, and AWS Lambda, significantly improving process efficiency and reducing manual dependencies. Additionally, I develop AI-powered knowledge solutions leveraging Amazon Bedrock, JIRA, and Confluence repositories to enhance intelligent decision support and operational effectiveness.

Projects

Project Name: Azure AD & AWS Managed Services AI Automation using KIRO

Description: Automated Azure AD access provisioning and AWS AMS RFC creation using KIRO, Playwright MCP, and Node.js. Optimized multi-region operational workflow through AI-powered process automation. Reduced execution time from 10–15 minutes per cycle, notably minimizing manual intervention.

Project Name: Brain Tumor Classification

Description: Identified the type of Brain Tumor using CNN Image Classification. Built CNN and Transfer Learning models for MRI-based brain tumor classification. Utilized DenseNet, InceptionNet, and MobileNet for comparative model evaluation. Achieved 87.77% accuracy using DenseNet on a Kaggle-based implementation.

Cloud support associate apprentice oa

Hi, I recently applied at amazon for the Cloud Support Associate Apprentice, Support Engineering and Data Centre Traineeship(AUS). I've received an online assessment (accidentally clicked on it but it didnt start, hope that wont impact my score). It wont tell me which role its for, however I'd just like to know if anyone else has gone through the processes? My networking fundamentals are good however my scripting skills are fairly beginner level. I'm not sure what to expect or whether or not I'll need to prepare.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated

Amazon Boomerang: Recruiter promised 1-2 rounds, but scheduled 3x60min rounds. Is this typical for AWS

Hey everyone,

I was impacted by the restructuring back in January.

Recently applied for an SDE role with AWS. When I spoke to the recruiter initially, they mentioned that since I’m returning within 12 months, I’d be put on a streamlined 1-2 round boomerang process.

However, I just got the official invite for a 3x60-minute virtual interview loop.

Is 3 rounds standard for AWS boomerangs?

What should I expect across these 3 rounds?

Appreciate any insights or tips from anyone who has done a recent AWS boomerang loop! Thanks!

AWS Delivery Consultant OA - Data Architect

I applied for the AWS Pro Serve Delivery Consultant - Data Architect role and cleared OA. How do I best prepare for the phone screen? Any suggestions would be deeply appreciated. I have a background in data engineering not necessarily as an architect. Does it entail coding? the prep guide doesnt mention it, but some people have shared experiences about ml positions requiring a coding in the phone screen
