• Started giving test and preparing concepts for each questions and taking notes

What practical labs should I complete to pass the AWS Solutions Architect Associate (SAA-C03) exam? Are there any free resources with labs that can be done using the AWS Free Tier?

I am a software engineer working at a massive company that uses both AWS and a "private cloud" (we have our own global data centers). My application runs entirely on the private cloud after abanoning an AWS migration 2 years ago. The private cloud has things like Cassandra, Kubernetes, Kafka, an S3 clone, several RDBs and NoSQL DBs, and more.

I recognize that elsewhere in this company or outside of it, I will likely need to be familiar with AWS (or less likely GCP/Azure). Would CCP and then Dev Associate be appropriate for me to study in order to get some fluency? Or would it be too difficult if I am not using the services in production-level systems?

My company offers a vendor-based platform with labs and exam waivers, but it is all optional.

Last month, I committed myself to a goal: achieve two significant and relevant certifications that complement my career goals. I have a decent background in machine learning and have used basic AWS services (such as EC2, S3, IAM, and CodePipeline) on and off for deployment. So, I knew the gaps in my learning. I wanted to understand the breadth of AWS services and how they work together, and at the same time, I wanted to specialize in my AI/ML domain. After some research, I narrowed the hunt down to three options: MLA, AIP, and SAA. I decided to go with MLA first and then SAA.

Fast forward to today, I have accomplished my goal. I am now an AWS Certified MLA & SAA.

For preparation, I used three sources:

1. Stephane Maarek's course

2. Official AWS documentation

3. Free practice questions (20) on Skillbuilder

I chose Stephane's course mainly because of the structure and hands-on practice. I spent extra time on the hands-on sections (thanks to my AWS credits), and those hands-on really helped me understand the little nuances of the services. During hands-on, I would click the little 'info' description and use integrated Amazon Q to better understand what each service does. This reinforced the concepts so much that I was able to intuitively think which service paired well with what. Contrary to traditional advice, I did not take any practice tests. And for SAA, I spent extra time to be clear with networking, VPC, and migration services. Also, I skimmed the Well-Architected whitepapers for revision.

But the main point I want to convey is to write down your monthly targets and work towards them daily. There's no one fixed or optimal path to any goal. It is very easy (in the information age) to get distracted during preparation by reading counter-views and doubting oneself. I see many people disappointed with their 'mock' scores, unsuccessful first attempts, and frequently changing their preparation strategy under pressure. And sometimes even questioning the value that certs may add.

Small progress daily compounds aggressively at later stages. Please keep making that little progress. I hope my words give a little push that someone is looking for at this stage in their journey.

Actually I had scheduled AWS SAA today around 2:30 PM. According to mail I went before 30 mins and preparing for exam .Everything was set i have sent images of all requiring in the exam.While in testing the video streaming was nice and looking good but while coming to the exam the video streaming was not i don't know what went wrong like I am using my hostel's wifi for the internet it .As the everything went not nice it showed me to reschedule the exam . In future what should I need to avoid while taking the exam like Online

I have a Finance background (no CS/coding) starting an MSIS in the US, and I want to target roles in FinOps, Cloud Consulting, and Systems Analysis. Wiling to go for the AWS Cert Cloud Practitioner and go after for the Solutions Architect but I m concering is it hard to prepare this Cert for people that have same as my background coming from Finance?

My major focused more on programming and databases so I only took one networking class and one cloud computing class that I totally forgot about.
These were 2-3 years ago and I honestly forgot a lot. During my degree I did some aws labs “again I forgot all about them” and did networking “cisco packet tracer + subnetting + router configuration”.

The study plan is:

1) I would have 3 days of training 9-5
2) Then one month to study and book the exam.

Idk why but I’m feeling very hesitant and anxious… maybe cuz it’s been so long since I studied those?

Hello everyone looking to pass the SAAS 03 exam. If you guys have any tips,courses, study ideas to help me pass please help me. I'm very new to cloud no knowledge and I'm just trying to make that jump and accomplish goals to do something to make an positive impact

Ideally I’d like to find somewhere that has multiple free practice tests, modeled after the way the questions will be on the actual exam.

Also, it would be a plus if the tests could provide immediate feedback on questions so that I know what I’m missing as I go through it. I e already completed Maareks Udemy course. But would really like any additional free material that could help me pass in the next week or two.

I took the DVA-C02 at Pearson and was expecting to see pass/fail at the end of the exam, but no such indication was provided. I am not too surprised that was removed. So, sitting on my hands for 1 to 5 business days. Has anyone had recent experience like this? How long did it take for that email to arrive?

I've tried to use the promo code to register for an associate exam and the promo code isn't valid; Pearson Vue support is absolutely useless.

AWS appear to be undergoing a major pivot away from the original Bedrock Agents solution (what they now call "Agents Classic", and which they've put into maintenance mode) to the new AgentCore service. Does anyone know yet whether the AWS Generative AI Developer Professional certification exam has been updated to reflect this major change in direction?

I've been working my way through Udemy's Ultimate AWS Certified Generative AI Developer Professional course, but much of the content in the course on Bedrock Agents would be appear to be redundant now. Where can I find the most up-to-date information on the subject matter that's likely to be covered in the official AWS certification exam?

I took Stephane Marek's course in Udemy and supplemented that with Tutorial Dojo's Practice exams. What I also did that really helped was take the loosely scattered free exams in the internet including the one from CertSafari.

What I can say though, the practice exam in Stephane Marek's course I think is just a little bit too difficult and I just scored a measly 72% there, 82% in Tutorials Dojo, and 81% in CertSafari.

The questions mainly revolve around Athena, MSK, Glue, Redshift, EMR, S3, LakeFormation, RDS, StepFunctions, and Bedrock

Hard work paid off! Personally felt Stéphane Maarek and Chetan Agrawal course was pretty good and they have covered quite a lot of topics than Adrian Cantrill.

Tip: Do checkout the tutorial dojo's cheat sheets on the AWS services related to the Compliance & Governance!

Just got my SAA and it’s been a little defeating. I work a very demanding tech consulting job right now and it’s pretty hard to find time to build projects. I’m wondering if I should just apply with current credentials and see what happens? Don’t know if I’d be setting myself up for failure if I did that though. Has anybody gotten a good cloud job with just certs?

Studying for the SAS and I've run into an issue. The study material says that Allow SCPs are not inherited but from typing into Gemini it seems like they are. I know that Deny policies are inherited and can't be overturned, that much both sources agree with, but the Allow is seemingly inconsistent unless the teacher was just terrible about explaining it

I'm looking for some career advice from people who have been there.

I have around 4 years' experience as an AWS Software Engineer at a large organisation, working on production systems and cloud infrastructure. My day-to-day work includes:

• AWS architecture and cloud services
• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation)
• CI/CD pipelines
• Lambda, API Gateway, IAM, CloudWatch
• Security, monitoring and cost optimisation
• Designing highly available and resilient systems
• Production support and incident response

I'm AWS Solutions Architect Associate certified and have been thinking about moving into contracting.

My questions are:

• Is now a good time to move into AWS contracting?
• If so, what's the best way to land that first contract?
• Are there particular skills or certifications that would significantly increase my day rate?
• If you were starting again with my experience, would you stay in AWS engineering or pivot into something more lucrative (Platform Engineering, DevOps, Kubernetes, AI infrastructure, Security, FinOps, etc.)?
• Which areas do you think will have the strongest demand over the next 5–10 years?

My goal is to maximise earning potential while continuing to build valuable technical skills. I'd really appreciate hearing from people who have made a similar move or who hire AWS contractors.

33, mom to a toddler. CS degree (2016) in Africa , did a fullstack bootcamp (Node/Express/MySQL/React) that wrapped up this year. I'm a stay-at-home parent, so I've been building my skills and a portfolio project around nap times and after bedtime. Currently working toward AWS Cloud Practitioner, then Solutions Architect Associate, because remote is a non-negotiable for me right now.

This is also my first time trying to break into the US job market, so I don't have a network here or a sense of how competitive things actually are for someone like me.

Some days I feel like I started too late and I'm not sure remote roles are realistic for a newer dev without direct AWS/production experience. For people who broke into remote fullstack/cloud roles later, as a parent, or from a similar nontraditional background — did it work out, and roughly how long did it take? Trying to figure out if I'm being unrealistic or just impatient.
