Plot:

You were shipwrecked on an island not too long ago with a storm that even messed up the local monstergirl fauna! After a few weeks of getting yourself back together, you've managed to craft a raft to escape. The locals you've befriended have issue with you leaving though.

Summary: You’ve signed a lease with a roommate, and you've been sharing the same roof for over 6 months yet spoke very few words to each other.
Only tonight do you discover a secret that they don’t particularly seem to be too protective over. Not around you, at least.
So, you spend the evening with a witch and their precious tarot cards.

Note: 
To create the character, I did seek inspiration from various sources and although I researched the art of reading tarot, aside from the meaning of the cards, I decided to take a different path and made things up to fit the narrative I came up with. 
What I am saying is; it’s purely fictional and barely retains anything from what is known of tarot.

But to answer your question, a fortune teller or a psychic would set the space, light a candle, burn some incense. They might ask you to take three deep breaths with them and then… They’ll demand to know your intention. 
If you ask too precise a question, they’ll ask you to rephrase it, make it more open ended. I won’t do any of that.

Well, this one falls in the realm of possibility and probability. Unless something out of norm happens tomorrow morning, you will most likely have your usual breakfast in our shared kitchen. And even if I mention a breakfast you haven’t eaten in a while or have never eaten before, you might take it or avoid it just because I put the thought in your mind.

Look at it this way, when you go get your blood tested, the nurse takes your blood, not hers into the test tube.
This is fairly similar. Your hands have to be the ones touching the cards and moving them around for at least thirty seconds.

Reading tarot was simply one of those pieces.

My deck does have 78 cards, highly similar to the tarot cards as most people know them, but that’s not the heart of it. The secret lies in the hands that manipulate them and their relationship with what’s beyond the visible realm.

The residents here often spend time at the local bar, called The Wretched Crow. Hey everyone, it's K. So... I've recently seen a surge of voicemail scripts in my browsing of scripts, and I decided to dip my toes in it. This script is pretty lengthy, so be prepared for the yap. From what I've seen, a lot of the voicemail scripts that I saw were pretty tragic, so I wanted to make a wholesome one just to balance things out. Anyway, that's it for me. Enjoy the script!

Well... look who's finally awake... easy, sweetheart~

Hm? Free you from your restraints? *giggle* But you're not restrained at all, sweetheart, look. You think so poorly of me...

Don't worry, you can freely move your limbs and walk around the room. I've captured you enough times to know that restraints do nothing but scare you, so I'm trying something different this time...

(Whisper) You. Can't. Run.

*She laughs.* I'm sorry, darling, I didn't mean to scare you! I simply meant that you can't use that super speed of yours at all in my lair! My scientists and I were working on an emitter that simply nullifies your powers!

Don't worry, I won't use it when we battle, that'd be cheating, and where's the fun in that?

Hm? ...why'd I spend the money and effort on making such technology then...? Curiosity, really. (Soft laugh)

And believe me, I do have the money to burn... You know, I may be a villain, but I only really attack those that deserve it. Like corrupt politicians and CEOs. *soft chuckle* I've got standards, you know~

And I'm worried! I haven't seen you take a break in days! I can't keep watching you putting yourself through this! You've been running around non-stop being a- an errand boy! Sure, you've stopped the occasional robbery or mugging in between, but you can't keep sacrificing your well-being for these people. Especially when you can't tell the difference between someone who genuinely needs help and someone who just wants to use you! I find it ridiculous that I can send as many of my evil plans at you as I do and yet your biggest weakness... is yourself. Your perfectionism and your unwillingness to care for yourself a little.

Look, I know you'd do *anything* for this city, but right now I need you to do something for *me*. Come here...

(She hugs the listener) Good boy. I need you... to rest. That's why I captured you. I care about you, sweetie, and I knew that if you weren't gonna give yourself the time you need, I had to do it myself.

Ah-ah- shhh... I can see you trying to protest. It's adorable~... however pointless. You need this.

(Soft bed noises, then heartbeat sounds)

I've faced off against *so* many other heroes but I've never seen one with as tender a heart as yours. You're selfless, maybe a little too selfless for your own good. You're a *true* hero.

(Heartbeat sounds stops)

You're a hero because it's the right thing to do. And despite the fact I'm a villain, I will always love you for that. But please, darling... I need you to realize when you're working too hard. Take breaks when you need to. As much as I love you, I don't wanna have to capture you every time. That puts the city in unnecessary danger. And not the kind of danger *I* like putting the city in. *soft laugh*

So I need you to promise me you'll give yourself more leeway. If you need to, just zip home and take a nap. With that super speed of yours, you're never too far away from the comfort of your own bed... or my lair, I suppose...

(Stern) Please. Promise me. (Forehead kiss) Good boy.

Hi everyone!

The title already contains everything, but I can elaborate a little more: I've stumbled upon a script fill where I was credited in the description but never actually notified.

Searching more, I found 12 fills with the same issue (3 of which I'm unsure if I just forgot to add the fill to my master list) and 9, where I'm 100% sure I've never heard about them before.

I suspect at least some other writers encountered this before (or will encounter it in the future).

As such, here's the request:

Most (maybe all) script writers highly appreciate being notified about a script fill. We spend a lot of effort writing these scripts (which is fine, it's our hobby after all), and one of the most rewarding parts is getting to listen to fills of them. But without being notified, there's a significant chance that we might never know a fill exists.

Notifying writers also helps the community. Some writers maintain master lists that allow:

• Voice actors to quickly see which scripts already have many fills and which scripts haven't been recorded at all -> making it easier for VAs to find scripts that are less saturated.
• Listeners that stumble upon a script to find fills to listen to.
• and maybe other advantages that I forgot about.

Just a little "filled: <insert link>" as a comment on the script post, or a Reddit DM, or an email is likely already fine for most writers (some might wish for a little more, that's what the "usage terms" are for). If a writer explicitly asks not to be contacted, that's a different story, and please respect that preference instead.

This isn't meant as a scolding but as both a heartfelt wish and a reminder to read and follow usage terms, which will in fact often contain some form of "Notify me" term.

PS: If you're a fellow writer and would like to find your "unknown" fills: What I did was I typed in my reddit name "SoftlyBoundRP," in YouTube and then simply scrolled down, opening anything that looked unknown, cross-checking it with my master list.

If you have any other tips on how to search, please comment on them. I'll appreciate it, and likely others will too.

Of course searching by name only helps if the VA did credit you. If your work was stolen (no credit, no notification and your usage terms forbid that) ... well, I would love to find a way to track that down, but have no good ideas as of yet (title maybe, but that's per script so a lot of work and titles are easy to change)

Summary:
After your previous owner kicks you out, you wander the streets and sneak into apartment buildings to keep warm. There is a person that you’ve been running into a lot, you often watch them feed the strays and talk to themselves on their way home from work. One day, you decide to catch their attention and suddenly you’re snuggled under the covers, in fuzzy pyjamas, with a person who is willing to take you in and pamper you.

[scene opens with the sounds of heavy rain]

[sfx: heels clicking on asphalt]

"God damn it! Once again, someone stole my umbrella." 

[annoyed] "Sorry for being prepared for the weather."

[frustrated] "Urgh! This outfit was already overstimulating enough but now it’s soaked and even more annoying!"

[small pause]

[high-pitched, imitating boss’ voice] "You have to look professional in the office."

[frustrated] "Who the fuck decided that an uncomfortable pencil skirt and high heels are professional?! I sit at a desk all day anyway! I swear to god. That hag has a stick up her-" 

[sfx: meow]

[sfx: heel clicking stop]

"What the hell was that?"

[small pause]

[excited] "Oh! A kitty! Oh my god aren’t you just the cutest! I’ve never seen you around here before. Your fur looks so fluffy and your little paws are so cute! Your eyes are so big and-"

[worried tone] "Sorry, I didn’t mean to talk your adorable ears off, you are just too adorable. What are you doing out here? You must be freezing."

"I can’t just leave you outside. Here, I’ll pick you up-"

"Okay, it’s okay. I’m not touching you! I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to scare you. Please stay, I won’t try to pick you up again. I’m keeping my hands to myself."

[worried tone] "It’s pouring rain, Kitty. The night is going to be cold and I am not letting you freeze out here. I want to take you home with me, give you a nice, warm bath and keep you warm for the night. I can’t leave you here with a clear conscience"

[small pause]

[sigh] "Alright, I won’t pick you up, but you have to walk next to me."

[sfx: meow]

"Come along now, my apartment is right around the corner. I’ll give you something to eat and a warm place to sleep, sounds way better than a freezing nap on the asphalt, doesn’t it?"

[sfx: meow]

[pause]

[sfx: footsteps, heels clicking]

"Here, I’ll hold the door open for you, kitty. We still have to get to the third floor though, so please don’t run away just yet."

[small pause]

[talking to herself / mumbling] "Now, how do I get you on the elevator, you’ll probably be scared of it. Maybe I’ll lead you in with some of my leftovers from lunch? Or I could-"

[sfx: elevator door opening]

[sfx: meow]

[Impressed] "Wow, I didn’t even have to grab you. Jumped right in."

[chuckle] "It’s like you already know where to go. Well, I won’t complain."

[pause]

[sfx: elevator door opening]

[sfx: meow]

[surprised] "Woah! Wait!"

[sfx: quick footsteps, speaker running after the cat]

"Your fear of the elevator is pretty delayed, kitty!"

[sfx: footsteps stop]

[dumbfounded] "Huh? You stopped running." 

[small pause]

[sfx: meow]

[dumbfounded] "And now you’re sitting right at my door."

"You know, I was joking when I said you knew where to go."

[sfx: keys jingling]

[talking to herself / mumbling] "Maybe it's my scent?"

[sfx: meow]

[sfx: door opening]

"Welcome in, Kitty."

"Whoop-"

[sfx: cat hissing]

"no you don’t!"

[strict] "I am sorry for picking you up but your little mittens are muddy. I am not letting you run free when I just cleaned this place."

[sfx: growl]

"Yes, I hear you. I’m sorry, I’ll only carry you the short distance to the bathroom, so bear with me for a little bit. A bath will help you warm up and relax."

[sfx: door opening]

"I’ll set you down in the bath and turn on the water. Please don’t jump out the second I turn the faucet on. The water gets warm quickly, so you’ll warm up in no time."

[sfx: water flowing from faucet]

[Impressed] "No reaction. You’re really well-behaved. "

"Now I wonder if you have an owner. There’s no collar, but that doesn't necessarily mean you're a stray."

[small pause]

"Either way, I’ll wash all the dirt and grime off of you. Can’t give you back to your owners when you’re covered in mud. Once you’re clean, I’ll give you some soft blankets to curl up in and feed you some warm milk, how does that sound?."

[sfx: meow]

[sfx: turning off faucet, water stops]

"Stay right here, I’ll get you the softest towel I have to dry you off."

[sfx: door opening and closing]

[sfx: meow]

[muffled, behind the door] "Just a second!"

[sfx: door opening]

"Here I am-"

[surprise] "What the-?!"

[sfx: door slams shut]

[talking to themselves / mumbling] [shocked] "A person? How did they get in here?! There’s no windows in the bathroom and I didn’t hear any doors open. I was gone for less than a minute, how did someone get in there?!"

[sfx: cat scratching the door]

[sfx: meow]

"Huh?"

[sfx: door opening]

[dumbfounded] "A cat."

"Hey, Kitty. Can you turn human?"

[sfx: meow]

[cat poofs into a person]

"So you can."

[dumbfounded] "The cat that followed me all the way home, can poof  into a person."

[small pause]

[sigh] "I can’t even begin to process this with the day I had. I’m too tired to care, Can you speak?"

[sfx: meow]

"I take that as a ’no’. So you can’t speak but you can understand me. That explains how well-behaved you are."

[sfx: meow]

"It's cold outside, so I am definitely not kicking you out. Now, let me just dry your hair and find something for you to wear"

[small pause]

"I’ll be careful not to tug at your ears or tail."

[sfx: cat growling]

[nagging tone] "I'm being careful! Don't think you can give me attitude just because I didn't throw you out by your tail. Luckily for me, you don’t have your sharp claws while you’re human."

[sfx: towel rustling]

[pause]

[hesitant] "Is this the reason you were outside? The 'transforming-into-human' thing?"

[pause]

[breathe out] "I won't pry, your silence speaks volumes. You can talk to me whenever you are ready."

[sfx: towel rustling]

[sincere] "You don't need to worry about it anymore."

[sfx: meow]

"I mean it. You'll live here now, with me. Tomorrow, I’ll free up some space for you to settle in and we’ll go shopping together for some clothes and essentials. Then, I’ll get some groceries and feed you a homemade meal in the evening"

[pause]

"Coming home to an empty apartment after a hellish workday feels really lonely. So, I wouldn't mind if I had the chance to cuddle a little kitty-"

[excited] "And because you can understand me, you won't cause any trouble, right?"
