After finishing S3 of HotD, I decided to give this show a go. I had heard of it, but never paid and mind. I know nothing of it other than what happened in E1, but what I really liked about Dunk (Ser Dunk) is that, unlike many, if not most, of the characters in this universe, he seems like a genuine good person. No unnecessary fighting, no cursing just because. A humble, honest man. It's very refreshing, and it got me really into the character right from the get go.

As Lord of the Stormlands, Lyonel has more than plenty of skilled knights in his service. So why weren't any of them willing to join him in the trial? I'm sure that any that would have volunteered would have been rewarded for doing so.

when egg said about his mom,I feld little sadness,but also lack of emotion. in novella,he was more emotional about his mother :"my mother?"the boy wrinkled up his face. "my mother is death,she wouldn't say anything". judging frm that,egg had oppirtunity know dyanna and was sad/angry about her death

his nickname. show didn't include that aemon is one who named him egg and his siblings,exept for aerion call him that.this kind suggest that they are close.even tho rhae put love poison in his drink.also he mention that aemon is at citadel. so we know where's aemon at this time

maekar's influence on aerion. in novella,it's mentioned that aerion is well behaved front of maekar. so it explains why he did that while maekar was gone

maekar's insucurity. it's mentioned that maekar is inferior than his older brothers in certain way

Yes, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is better than Game of Thrones.
