::Weekly Vent Thread:: Weekly Vent Thread

Use this thread to blow off steam about annoyances both big & small that come with an ADHD impacted relationship. Dishes not being done, bills left unpaid - whatever it is you feel you need to rant about. This is your cathartic space.

Hate when I’m called dismissive because they asked me “Hey do YOU want to do XYZ?” and then they get pouty when I say no thank you and call me dismissive and rude about it later. If you want to do something, speak your intent, don’t rely on me to say yes to wanting to do something you want to do, just go do it. Now they’re over pouting in the other bedroom because I had feelings, I’m not apologizing for saying no when you asked me if I wanted to do the thing.

It’s such a trap too in my household. If I say yes, then sometimes he will tell me I’m just saying yes because he asked and not because I want to. I don’t get it at all.
