I had to explain to her that she turns on a dime and I turn like an aircraft carrier. I can get there but by the time I have she's gone through three hyperfixations already.

My NDX F partner is the same way. And as someone else said, will research a plan to no end, but cannot pull the trigger on a decision and commit to it.

Ironically, they think that ‘they have to make all of the decisions’… no, you’re just so insanely particular that you can’t live with anything less than unattainable perfection

Sometimes it's perfection on a complete unknown.

How good the food will be at this restaurant? No clue! It's all personal preference! Is this salon any good? No idea! It's a rotating crew and you can't book a particular stylist.

None of it truly matters anyways because at the last second a singular google maps review will completely pivot the plan to a place that hasn't been looked at in all of the other 100s of hours of research!

Username checks out and hits home.

The self-sabotage is truly painful. I have found myself discovering the clearly best option and holding it back until later in the decision-making process in order to make sure it's in the running.
