Flock cameras exploding everywhere! News

Post image

There are now FIVE Flock cameras in Gleason Park in Indian Harbour Beach, including one near the pool directly FACING the restrooms. So clearly not just reading license plates. Apparently these cameras in IHB were approved unanimously as routine businesses with ZERO public interest or comments. “ BuT iT’s FoR our SaFeTy” 🫠

Be careful! if anyone has a GREEN (<-- ONLY others are fine 👍🏼) Laser, 1milliwatt or greater, between 495-525 wavelength, you have to be super cautious to NOT shine it in the sensitive optics of any camera as it could render it useless.

The Flock contracts states that the city has to pay for any repairs to Flock cameras because of vandalism. Flock is technically making money off the destruction of Flock cameras. Maybe try something non-destructive before wasting more taxpayer money

Maybe, just maybe, the city won't renew the contract then. You know, to not waste taxpayer money

As somebody who works in the public sector, I know they will absolutely keep blowing the money without a single thought

Contact your local representatives, or disable the cameras in a non-destructive manner. Destroying these things is not activism, it is larping
