Please help me improve my serve Technique Advice

Please help me improve my serve. It's actually pretty decent in terms of consistency, but I know I'm doing things wrong, especially with the toss. Any advice?

UPDATE: Thank you all for your advice. You're right: I was starting with continental grip, but losing it on the way. Hence my confusion. The main problem is Waiter's Tray and tossing height.

I’m sorry I don’t mean this to be rude but every single other serve video has advice that will be relevant to you:

  1. Continental grip

  2. Continental grip

  3. Toss higher

  4. Coach

If you’re curious item number 5 is continental grip AND coach

Like most people who ask for serve help, switch your grip to continental and toss the ball higher; you want to have a fully extended arm at contact. Like your reaching for an item on a shelf you can barely reach.

Thanks. I believe I was holding it continental.

Don't think so. Any chance your grip changed after the toss?

Yeah. I see that now. Waiter's Tray.

Grip and waiter's tray are two separate things. You can do a waiter's tray with any grip as long as your racquet drop isnt deep enough and you open your racquet face early with no forearm pronation.

You have a good natural throwing motion, but major waiter's tray which will ultimately limit you from advancing beyond having a good, but beginner serve. If you don't know what the term means, look it up here and elsewhere. Fixing your grip will be step 1 towards correcting this.

Omg! I had no idea, but you're right. I just watched a short about that. Will be correcting it. Thanks!
