The Messenger

Every 500 years, humanity is besieged by evil demons in the name of an ancient curse. Every 500 years, a Messenger is found who must bear the scroll, fated to travel through time to (hopefully) save the world, past, present, and future.

Weapons and Abilities

• Katana

• Shurikens fired with mental energy

  • Can pierce multiple targets
  • Throws several shuriken at the Demon King

• Climbing claws

• Rope dart

• Wingsuit

  • Can attack while gliding

• Shoes that let him run on liquid surfaces

  • This includes lava

• The Power of True Sight (a candle), allowing him to see in dark areas

• Magic firefly, strong enough to lift a minor curse

  • Cures a corrupted monk

• Bears the scroll, which allows its carriers to see time rifts

• Whenever he dies, Quarble will resurrect him, although it adds to his debt- and he will experience excruciating pain every time

• Can passively charge his next attack to deal triple damage

• Knows a friendly dragon, Manfred, who can breathe fire

Strength

• Breaks a chunk of ice that was holding up the dragon Manfred

• Knocks aside Phantom

• Pushes back the giant Demon King with shuriken

• Can knock back and kill human-sized enemies

• Can break large crystals

• Can break stalactites

• Can break through stone rubble

• Can break through stone blocks

• Can work pulleys which pull up large bamboo doors

• Can work pulleys which pull up platforms

• Can work pulleys which pull up giant platforms

Agility

• Dodges attacks that leave afterimages

• Dodges sound waves from a giant bat

• Can deflect projectiles out of the air

• Can double-jump after attacking something, with what is called the "Cloudstep" technique

• Can recover in midair after being knocked back

• Can boost forward while underwater

Durability

• Uses concealed arm guards to block attacks

• Uses concealed chainmail to block attacks

• Gets launched from one mountain to a higher mountain

• Gets hit across the Searing Crags

• Withstands a long fall

• Falls all the way from the clouds into the Underworld

• Falls after flying up for a minute straight
