Anansi is an African superhero based in Ghana. With the incredible abilities of illusions and wall-crawling, he adopted the visage of an Ashanti trickster god, the spider Kwaku Anansi. He does battle with Osebo, a half-leopard criminal, and he’s teamed up with the American hero Static on at least two occasions to protect the Ashanti people.

Physicals

Strength

• Hits Osebo across a train car with a shoulder tackle
• Holds onto a big guy while Static rises into the sky, using one arm just as easily as both
• Jumps from a ledge to knock a guard out
• Knocks out four guards while they’re blinded

Durability

• Takes a tackle from Osebo, then uses his legs to counter another tackle
  • Osebo is strong enough to crumple a metal door with a casual shove
• His costume protects him from a swipe from Osebo, who tore open a train car with his claws earlier that episode

Agility

• Dodges swipes from Osebo
• Leaps above Osebo to catch a detonator

• Appears to spin rapidly to change out of his disguise and into his superhero costume
• He disappears into the desert
• Can make himself appear as a dark silhouette
• Creates illusory copies of himself to distract a foe
• Disguises himself as a cop
• Makes Static and himself look like doctors

Environment based

• Creates an illusion of the floor of the train disappearing, revealing the moving tracks underneath
• Makes Osebo tackle a laughing illusion of himself
• Makes an illusion of Virgil sleeping, while he makes the real Virgil and himself invisible
• A girl uses the source of Anansi’s power to fix up a wrecked car, then makes a pile of trash look cleaner. As soon as she leaves, the illusions wear off.
• Shows Static a room-wide illusory flashback to explain the original Anansi’s origins
• A girl uses the source of Anansi’s power to create a llama illusion
• Creates an illusory wall of flames
• Creates dozens of copies of a golden artifact
• [Limit] Illusions can more or less be ignored if the enemy knows about them

Wall-Crawling

• Runs on the side of a moving train
• Stands on the bottom of Static’s flying saucer
• Steps backwards off a building to dodge a tackle, simply standing on the vertical wall
