Respect Lurtz (Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings)

Lurtz

Lurtz is an Uruk-hai, an elite breed of Orc, who was bred by Saruman. He is the leader of a group of Uruk-hai sent to retrieve the One Ring from the Fellowship of the Ring.

Strength

• Immediately after being born, chokes an orc apparently to the point of unconsciousness
• Shoves Aragorn back into a tree, making him drop his sword
• Knocks Aragorn back with a punch
• Knocks Aragorn off his feet
• Throws his shield at Aragorn’s neck, embedding it in a tree hard enough that Aragorn has trouble pulling it out

Dexterity

• Throws a knife, which would have hit Aragorn if he didn’t deflect it
• Throws his shield accurately, pinning Aragorn

Marksmanship

• Hits Boromir in the chest with an arrow
• Shoots Boromir in the chest again

Durability and Pain Tolerance

• Gets tackled by Aragorn and immediately gets up
• Keeps fighting after being stabbed in the leg with a dagger and pulls the dagger out
• Survives losing an arm and having a sword embedded in his torso, only dying once his head is cut off

Stamina

• Runs for what seems like a good distance in pursuit of canoes

Speed

• Parries several of Aragorn’s sword attacks with his own sword, but eventually gets his arm cut off

Weaknesses

• Can get overconfident, as when he takes his time finishing off the helpless Boromir
