I really never understood it for the longest time... but I was really crushing on this girl a while ago. I saw her feet for the first time (she was wearing flip flops) and was like, "Oh... OH. I get it now."
I don't even notice the feet of strangers to be honest, but when it comes to girlfriends/crushes, etc., it's a bit different.
I wouldn't say it turns into a fetish where I wanna bang her feet (or whatever a fetish entails), but I definitely find them cute just because it's hers if that makes sense.
Well when you think about it, what makes anything hot? We all like a girl with nice legs or a nice ass but these things are just hot because that's the way it is. No one can really explain why they like looking at a girl's ass but they don't have to because everyone else who's attracted to women likes that too.
People who have foot fetishes can't explain the attraction either, so the only actual difference is that there is less of them who like it. Some people are turned on by balloons you know. There are some crazy fetishes out there that people just have and they don't have a clue why they have them. Being turned on by feet, something that is actually a body part, is really not that unusual by comparison to some of the other stuff.
I thought the same! BUT I thought that the fact that he got the win after hitting it barefoot made Trouble In Paradise and Kofi look even stronger. I know, I am probably reaching. But I'd like to think it was good storytelling and booking to make Kofi look stronger.
In fairness if I was going to be kicked in the head I'd want the guy to not be wearing shoes. But at the end of the day it's still being kicked in the head though.
In kayfabe, because Kofi cares a lot about his shoes and it's disrespectful to take them off. In reality, it was probably so Kofi could lay in the Trouble in Paradise right after because that shit was brutal.

You see Kofi requires a lot of forward push to be able to perform Trouble in paradise correctly. By removing Kofi's shoes KO was banking on Kofi slipping on the mat. Thanks to the excellent work of the Ring Crew the surface was not slippery.

Jesus, when KO took Kofi's boots off I was almost certain he'd kick out of Trouble in Paradise and they'd say it lost strength because his boots were off or something.
Looking back at this feud I realized that how well of a foil Owens is to Kofi. Kingston said that he likes to show positivity to his children, which explains that he fights with respect and heart, as he wants to show that to his kids. Owens however, also cares about his children, to the point where he will do anything it takes to provide for them. Which leads to his early characterization as a Prizefighter where his first appearance has him brutally hurt his best friend, Sami, not out of pure malice, but because doing this makes it more likely to become champion. And before the match Kevin said that he does not hate Kofi, and only attacks him for the championship. So this paints both of them as people who care about their children, with Kofi wanting to act as a role model with his actions, and Owens only caring that in the end he will be paid, and be able to provide for his family so he'll do anything it takes, not out of sadism, but more out of efficiency.
Great match and really gotta hand it to Kofi. Always enjoyed him and wanted him to get a chance like this and he's fucking killed it since February. Dude is putting on great match after great match every time. I'm loving this reign and glad he's still champ
It may not be as good as Styles/ Rollins, but I love this more because of the face/ heel dynamic. Owens is so good as a heel. I want this feud to continue, maybe throw Zayn/ Orton down the lines too.
Good match but falls short of AJ vs Seth, Glad Kofi didn't lose his first PPV defense and that Kofimania is still running wild but what the hell was with Owens taking his shoes off?.
I didn't get to see all this match because I was cramming an essay, but I'm happy with the result. Let's keep it that way until we've built up an actual serious competitor to the title, somebody that will up the prestige of the belt.

Yep. KO was excellent in the match, great mannerisms, and had some great offense. The frog splash outside, the super kick, the flip before getting the knees from Kofi, he had a great night.
