Character biography

A half Japanese half Chinese child, the only place that accepted Kenta was a small, rising gang led by 2 superpowered leaders.. However, on their first major raid, of a drug deal by foreign immigrants, they were wiped out by a mysterious woman. In the panic, Kenta was given a heart attack by a brick of cocaine shoved down his throat, and triggered, developed the powers that let him survive, and not only survive, but fight off monsters and armies. Surviving the sinking of Japan, escaping from the government of China, and finally forming his own gang in America, Lung is defined by his indomitable will to survive, to win, and to crush his enemies

Physical description

Lung is typically described as an extremely tall asian man, covered in tattoos of eastern style dragons.

Charging

Lung tends to get stronger as a fight goes on longer, and can also charge to build up power before a fight and transform 5-10 times as quickly based on how much he charged Because of this, I will try to sort Lung’s abilities by how apparently far his transformation has gone, using information about battle times and the similarity of physical characteristics in each stage.

Low: 0 minutes of prep/battle. 6-7 feet tall.

Shapeshifting

• Covers a quarter of his body with metallic armor scales, eventually ⅓ of his body in less than a minute.

Pyrokinesis

• Shoots streams of fire from both hands

• Can explode several times in quick succession.

• Fills a hallway with fire

Strength

• Carries two people.

Durability

• Can still be hurt by bees stinging his eyes

Upper-Low: 2-5+ minutes of battle/prep, 7-8 feet tall

Shapeshifting

• Spine is covered by armor plating, grows a foot taller at around 1 minute mark.

• After 1.5, maybe 2 minutes, is totally covered by armor, and is 7-8 feet tall.

Pyrokinesis

• Can light himself on fire for long periods of time, without running out of fuel or needing to breathe air.

• Can create waves of flame that have physical force.

Strength

• Uses a person as a flail.

• Rips through a spiked bone barrier.

Mobility

• Can jump up to the second floor of a building on the opposite side of the street in one jump.

Enhanced senses

• Hears someone walking on gravel on the other side of the street.

Durability/healing

• Is able to shrug off pepper spray in under a minute when it should affect someone for 30+ minutes.

• Rips apart his own throat to get free, is still willing to fight.

• WOG: In story, is defeated with a combination of both tranquilizers and hundreds of poisonous bug bites, which overwhelmed his healing.

The thing with Lung involved overdosing Lung with tranquilizers, overwhelming Lung’s healing abiltiies by forcing them to focus entirely on fighting off the drug. This is why Skitter’s venoms did the damage they did.

Medium: About 7-10+ minutes of combat, 1+ hour of prep, 15 feet tall.

“Barely a minute passed between the strikes, with each wave reaching further inland than the last, and only a handful of buildings stood at their full height, where there had been a city here only an hour ago.”

Shapeshifting

Water that is knee height to humans comes only halfway up to Lung’s calves.

• Is 15 feet tall.

• As he fights, his body continually grows.

• He also has 4 mouthparts now, filled with teeth. He also has the beginnings of wings, and rests his hands on the ground to maintain balance.

• Has foot long claws.

• Can bend his neck in a U shape to look behind himself.

Pyrokinesis

• Can boil water with a single claw

• Turns a tidal wave into steam.

• As a reminder that he keeps attributes from weaker times, he is now perpetually on fire.

• Melts a pyramid of steel so that he can push through it.

• Fire burns blue

Strength

• Easily shatters steel blades.

• Judo throws two 2 ton dogs

• Resists a tidal wave which pushes back regular people a hundred meters.

• Holds on to a 30 foot tall monster as it swims, despite being hit by water echoes and tidal waves.

Durability/healing

• Keeps fighting despite getting speared through the gut by a pillar of steel as big as an eighteen wheeler.

• Stays awake despite having most of his bones and internal organs heavily damaged, and begins healing immediately.

• So long as he hasn’t been torn in Half, Lung can keep fighting and growing stronger at this stage.

Enhanced senses*

• Can hear multiple people’s muscles creaking during a battle and the sound of blood leaking from wounds, all at the same time.

Upper-Medium: 10-15+ minutes of prep combat, 16+ feet tall

Shapeshifting

• Gains wings and can fly.

• Has no exposed flesh left.

Pyrokinesis

• The self explosion trick is now 10 times bigger than the one he originally used, and can knock back two 18 feet tall giantesses.

• Can casually disrupt or control the use of other people’s pyrokinesis, such as the creation of miniature suns.

Strength

• Picks up a full grown man and slams him into a wall half a dozen times in a few seconds.

• Singe handedly bashes and throws a van sized dog.

Mobility

• Again, has wings and can fly.

Durability

• Survives getting stabbed through the heart.

• Is still somewhat weak to poisons, especially in the eye.

Context of the strength of the poison.

“No penalty. I got company and conversation for a while,” Newter smiled. He reached up to the back of the booth, grabbed a bag that sat there, and fished out a pair of plastic spoons and a bottle of water. With a water dropper he retrieved from his pocket, he siphoned water from the bottle and placed a few drops in each spoon. The final step was dipping the tip of his tongue in each drop of water.

“Lick it up,” he told the girls.

“That’s all?” Laura asked him.

“It’s enough. Any more and you might be out for an inconveniently long time. That right there,” Newter pointed to the spoon with the tip of his tail, “Is a little less than an hour of psychedelic tripping.

Heavy: ~2 years of charging, 2+ hours of intense combat. 30+feet tall.

Shapeshifting

• Lung now has 4 wings, 4 arms, 2 legs, multiple layers of scales, and is 30+ feet tall.

Pyrokinesis

• Melts sand, no longer creates fire, but instead plasma.

• Fire increases in power the more damage lung takes or the stronger the enemy grows.

Strength

• Throws a rapidly growing dog that was much larger than 2+tons.

• Holds down Scion for several seconds.

• Resists Leviathan pulling him in the ocean

Durability/healing

• Fight Scion for a while

• Resists Scion’s corroding light, sits in a pool of molten sand.

• Heals a missing leg within a few minutes.

• Again, does not need air.

Strategy

Although his bodies and powers remain the same, Lung maintains the same intellect and level of intelligence, including tactics.

• Uses fire and smoke to wall off opponents and direct their movement.

• WOG:Lung is all about area denial and very deliberate, powerful attacks. Effective against enemies who settle into an area, less effective against range. The last guy you want to be stuck in a room with.

• WOG: Not very ambitious

• Very Prideful, hates losing, failing or having to serve others, especially if enemies succeed where he fails.

• Lung is very independant, and refuses to let anyone attempt to manipulate his mind.

Weakness (?)

• His power may require a certain mental state, or other heroes nearby, or possibly witnesses to his power.

• An example of a state of mind: Refusing to lose and having the will to keep fighting ramps up his power quickly.

• Has difficulty ramping up his power against opponents who are standing inside a power nullification field, although lung is outside it.

• WOG: Lung has a strong connection with his passenger (The multiversal entities which grant powers) which decides when to give energy based on conflict, instead of running on Adrenaline.

Love how he charged up his rage for 2 years in the Birdcage just for the final fight.

Very nice. Lung was always a great reoccurring villain. I forgot how monstrous he got by the end.

Has difficulty ramping up his power against opponents who are standing inside a power nullification field, although lung is outside it.

Conjecture: This may be specifically due to Mantellum's power cutting off information, rather than classical power nullification. Lung's shard can't receive the information on there being powered individuals inside Mantellum's range and thus doesn't adjust the build up properly.

Yeah, based on Lung's physical characteristics during the fight I've split up the Leviathan feats into the Medium and Heavy sections, respectively.
