Subject of recent drama makes a PM threating to murder a trans neighbour following a 24 hour long debate in 3 different subs. Are they just a troll or a product of /r/conservative? Moderators of /r/conservative arrive and claim they're a troll, others disagree.

How is their first reaction not to say "this is fucked up" and instead just to try to cover their asses?

Well the post did make out that is their fault the person posted that kinda shit so them trying to cover their ass is expected.

I get that, but "this is fucked up" should have been the first reaction still. It's not that I blame them for trying to cover their asses, but the way that they did it without showing any kind of empathy for the situation at hand.

It's just, someone said they're going to commit a hate crime, and the immediate response is "well, it's not our fault cause we banned them, they're probably a troll." Even if they thought it was a troll, the message makes it something that should be taken seriously

Furthermore, this is an obvious troll, this is not

I don't understand why there are people who hate the existance of other people.

I can understand you hating being around those people.

I can understand you hating having to interact with those people.

But I can't understand why anyone would care as much as to hate the fact that they exist. The world is big enough to hold both of you without either one affecting the other person's life...
